the normal set up i run is a freak with a stiffi tip on my carbine, most of the guys i play with hate it (being on the reciving end)
i have a palmer brass on the way for the phantom and looking forward to seeing how that does, heard nothing but good things about them.

Too many choices, have a kaner kit, works great.
Stiffi and Sly kits, good for noise reduction and self cleaning on a break.
Apex works good depending on the situation.
CCM kit, light and accurate, almost as quiet as Stiffi and Sly.
I have not tried a freak kit, see alot of them out there, must be good.
Good luck deciding, just buy them all, one for each day of the week.

Just for your info egos are a tad on the loud side anyway...you can put a TI rammer in them and that is supposed to help if you can find a lucky valve that will help as well. Other than that, I use either a DYE UL "16 on mine the Deadly wind barrel is nice as well. I like the carbon fiber barrel kits but haven't bought one yet. Also look into a Warped Sportz Lucky 15 barrel kit they are pretty quiet.

Once your EGO gets broken in around 5 cases through her. Adjust your lpr to flush and reduce your dwell to the 9-10 range. Then adjust your HP reg to get your velocity right. that will help on efficiency, performance and sound signature.

catch up with me at BC and I'll help you out with it...

For decent paint, Kaners & UL's

When the paint and weather are bad : slys -- taper bored means no drag on seams, dimples and condensation.

My kid just got an OTP Dream Kit -- pretty nice for the $$$ -- J&J Edge kits are also very nice for the $$$.

And I hear lots of good things about the Deadly Wind fibre -- takes freak backs - a good choice if you already have a freak kit.
