Kee strictly enforces MAP and known violators are given specific time to correct. If you know of 1 such aminal, please let me know and I'll have it looked in to. For those of you not familiar with wholesale buying, the chances of deeper discounts given to those buying 1000 of something, than of those buying 20, (depending on the item) are greater. I'm in no way saying that one customer is more important than the other.

MAP allows all dealers to play on a level field. For those "web" companies who have no "brick and mortar" expenses, additional handling fees could (and should) apply.

If an item costs a few bucks less on a website, spending the extra money locally will pay off in ways you might not think of; Service, events, comraderie, in-store specials, teams, etc.. Don't get me wrong, web dealers are good folks, too. But. Wouldn't you rather shake the hand of the person that fixed your gun on site in 10 minutes rather than thanking the UPS driver days later?

Support your local field / store and if they don't stock certain items, ask them to try to get it for you. If they can't, understand that the company may have certain minimum order requirements, payment terms, etc that are not conducive to the stores' method of doing business. Pre-paying for a special order will not only entice the store to get your item (and possibly stock other accessories, etc from that company) , it will establish your relationship with them as a dedicated customer.

Kids, try this one at home. Go in to your local grocer and ask the manager to sell you 10 cases of soda at a discount, watch his/her reaction. They will most likely say "the price on the shelf, that's the price you pay".
Now. go in to your local store and discreetly ask them for a 10 cs price on paint. Betcha you get some sort of a deal or freebie.

ya got a good point here man.
I buy most everything thru my local shop just for the peace of mind that i know if i ever have a problem with any of it they're there to take care of it for me, I dont have to ship anythign back or wait for them to respond to my emails.

not to mention the free labor they offer for the life of any marker when it's bought thru them.

The main issue is volume, the big internet stores push, for example a thousand markers a month, to your dozen, the price per unit to the internet store will be far below your rate, simply do to the cost of delivery to you or them.

Your local store CANNOT compete with the internet, and will go under trying. The local stores have to depend on providing the service people can't get from the internet, in order to produce a local customer base.

I will always take my business to a competent local store, as long as they have, or can get the produces I am looking for... but then, I have always been a little backwards/wierd...

Just my $.02....
