Where did the money go ?

Where did the money go in paintball ? Was it the online sales that got it ? How can an online company sell markers on the Internet for the same price as we buy them from the wholesale companies and manufactures? And to boot throw in free shipping on this stuff. Where does this this leave us as field owners/store owners. If everybody is buying for the same price how can there be so much throat cutting there can't. I believe the manufactures are well aware of the joke called MAP pricing and don't give a damn to enforce it on bigger online companies. I think the owners of stores and fields should tell the manufactures enough is enough something stinks and it starts at the factory. Thoughts?

Rec ballers. and church youth Groups. If your a field owner and not making money you are marketing to the wrong people.

YEP, always wondered the same thing, we would get a new gun in, i would see the invoice and then go home and compare and some online stores would have it for less than invoice... I guess they either are buying in extreme bulk, or they have a super good bribe system worked out with the manufacturers

Yep, either way as a buyer, I am looking for the best price on what I want. Though on my last marker, Jes gave me a hell of a deal, even better than Internet stores

Kind of makes you wonder if the manufactures are actually behind the online sales seems if everybody was buying at the same cost you could only sell so low.

If you as a manufacturer can move 250,000 of product through one person and 5 million through another who is gonna get the best prices? I know when my friend ran his store it used to be published information the price breaks you would receive at various levels. I take it they don't do that any more.

No storefront. No overhead. No operating expenses. Certain high volume online companies that get access to closeout merchandise from the manufacturers and dump it in the market for pennies on the dollar cause the MAP is no longer in effect. Warranty and repair policies that say, "Send it back to the manufacturer".

If players didn't patronize these vendors, they wouldn't last long. The caveat to that is those players who are in far proximity to a brick and mortar store. Support your local fields and pro shops. Without them, we go down.
