You will need a sponsor like all clubs do. They don't have to play, they just need to be willing to oversee the meetings and such. Also, get PARENT'S signatures on the petition as well as the students interested. You're going to have t present it in a nice way. Do your research for all of the safety stats, and lay down some good solid rules. Working out something like no paintballs or paintball markers will be allowed at all on school property, unless permission from the deans/principal has been granted. May sound like common sense, but its always good to reassure them. Maybe put all your info into a nice looking powerpoint presentation. Another important thing is to make sure you have an outline for what the club will do. Meetings are pointless if you don't do a damn thing (Read "if the meetings will be like the photo club at MCHS(my school) where you do absolutely nothing.")

The downfall of paintball is that outsiders see people shooting at each other with "Guns." In their minds, they directly connect this to violence. You should find the safety statisitcs, and show how few injuries happen in paintball compared to other sports. Break down all the safety equipment used, and how the rules prevent people from getting hurt. Emphasize the fact that paintball builds teamwork skills, and that it is not the violent sport some people instantly believe it to be.
