BTW- Did you know that there are people who actually believe in having sex with kids? I'm not talking about the weird looking people you see getting arrested, I'm talking about normal looking people. I read a magazine article about 25 years ago on the subject. They had themselves a group name I don't remeber & a slogan I do remember. It was "Sex by eight (years old) or it's too late". I'm not making this up. There was even a picture of one of their leaders in the magazine. I believed they hoped to change the laws & make it legal.

This part stood out to me in your post. While I can see you are attempting to link sexual deviations together, I see a clear cut line (read: NO grey area) between a sexual act between consenting adults, and a sexual act where an adult is taking advantage of a child.

Yes, there is a difference between acts between consenting adults and acts between adults & kids and you are correct about my grouping goal. We have laws that deal with that, but my post is more about the acts themselves rather than legal stuff. I've done a little reading and basically some sex acts between what we call kids & adults was once considered ok.

Once a girl hit puberty, say at age 13 in the 1600's, she was considered fair game, especially for marriage. Now marriage may seem to make it better somehow, but you're still talking a 13 year old girl.

I'm looking at it from a see-the-forest-for-the-trees point of view. Also, it is written somewhat the way a paper with a thesis is done. I start with the assertion that the male & female sex organs were made for each other & extract from that. Please note the notation I included saying that my arguments hardly include everything that could be-- what I wrote is just one part of a multitude of ways to attack (as in debate) this subject.

While I agree with our laws forbidding sex between adults and kids, leaving the legal system behind for a moment, I see no reason to classify those who want to do so those acts differently than same sex adults (as in one is a mental case & the others are not). Of course, I'm sure you know that same gender sex was illegal at one time (still on the books in some states).

By the way, I actually would like to see much stronger laws than what we have now when it comes to sex acts between adults & kids.

I know you didn't bring it up, but I want to re-assert something that easy to lose sight of when writing about these subjects: Concerning what adults do with other adults, or any "wrong" act for that matter, I don't believe in getting in people's faces, etc. I strongly believe it's ok to hate certains acts (or what some would call sin) but not ok to hate people( I hate stealing & I hate lying for example). I try not to cross that line and usually when I do, I'm really thinking about the effects of such acts or the effects of the changes that a group may be pushing for.
