Opinion What Valve/Springs are Best?

I have an 03 WGP Sniper II which I love...LOL

To my knoweledge the valve has never been tweeked.
I want to know what Valve is the Best for the Sniper II?
Is there a valve that is the best and will use less Air/Co2?
Is there a modification for the valve to use less Air/Co2?
Also is there a spring set for the valve that is better than the rest?
Am I just waisting my time?

The stock valve works very well. You'll gain better efficiency with a proper balance of valve spring and main spring. Also sweet spotting your reg.

I also run an ANS LP valve in one of my pumps which allows me to lower the pressure down quite a bit. I've used either the medium or lightest maddmann spring (I can't remember which) behind the valve and lightest maddmann main spring.

I don't think I've seen a difference in efficiency between the ans valve and stock one. I think the springs make the biggest difference. Seems to make the marker a little quieter too running at the lower pressure.

stock valve works very well, small differences can be seen in other valves (Shocktech Rat 3:16 is the one I'd pick if anything over stock). The Springs is what really matters as Sahara said, get a Maddman spring set

3:16 Rat as an afterthought... It's what I have in mine. Spring balance, as SJ said, is important...

If it's not leaking stick with a stock valve. What little performance increase you might get is not worth the extra money. If I was to buy a new valve I like the Rat 3.16, CCM Lower tube kit, and AKA-Lmp Lightning. I've heard some good things about the Madman Valve but have no personal experience.

I've found working out the springs so I have the IVG about 1/2 way through its travel and input pressure between 300-400 psi gives me the most consistant results. No one can tell you what color springs to use since there is too much variation in actual spring rates for a given color. You can set up a sniper to run at super low pressures but it gains you nothing and you loose effiencey plus I've found the get unstable shot to shot.

A good broken in regulator helps alot. I like Palmer's Stabilizer, AKA-Lmp Sidewinder, ANS Gen-II and stock WGP (though a pain to adjust).

Somewhere around here I did a right up about the steps to sweet spotting a sniper I'll see if I can look it up and link it here for reference.

Found my post on setting up a sniper Sniper Setup

yup -- maddmann blues in summer - maybe greens in winter - 400 psi-ish -- lighter on the rear -- dont cut springs

and a tasty old stab.
