Moral of the story? Get a Talon with a flatline. Nuff said.

Now let's get the original poster some advice.

I said distance does not change from one gun to the next. not from one barrel to the next. read the post again

Um....and what were you right about? that flatlines can shoot farther? yeah congratulations, I think everyone knows that.

Those there fancy flatlined autocockers have been out quite awhile, and contradictory to what you might think there were quite a few adds for the in APG circa 2002-2003. Granted they were quite expensive and ugly as sin, they were- and i suppose are still out there.

Someone argued deepfreeze on autocockers? Ive seen it all. (well some of it)

Edit: wow, having gone back and reading all that- I realize that I am beating a dead horse. But I found this thread to be extremely ammusing- SO thanks to all participants.

OK, I'll go easy on the English, but I will correct the spelling of my name....Jami (I was named after my dad, James, and Jimi Hendrix.

Back to the subject of the thread......It has been said many time throughout this thread. Any paintball gun is a matter of preference. Some people like light guns, some like a heavier gun. Some like one without very much kick.
For me the most important thing is the feel and consistency. The feel isn't something that you can recommend to someone else. I love my Sniper II, but after about fifteen minutes of play many others can't stand it. My Sniper II weighs about as much as a VM68. It is a '97 right feed body with a steel 47ci flatline tank on it. Throw on the 14" old school Dye boomstick and VL3000 and it weighs a ton. It works for me because it is probably the most steady platform I have shot. I have close to $1000 in it over the years, but I think it is worth every penny.
I owned a VSC phantom for about a year. It was a great gun, but it just never felt right in my hands. I can remember times when I would let Brain use my Sniper II and he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it. He would cuss it constantly and swear it was the most inaccurate gun on the field. Of course I would grab it and drop three straight on a tree limb at distance. The same thing would happen when I would try the phantom. I couldn't hit anything with consistency, but Brain could shoot flies off a cow's back at 30 yards.
Others I have tried:

PGP - Not all that accurate, but a fun gun to have
PG - My first gun. Not the most accurate, but once again, a blast to take on the
field.
BE Cobra - Solid, but I am still having problems with the cup seal (I haven't had a
chance to get it tuned enough to judge it honestly)
BE Nitemare - The most intimidating pump I have owned. Loud as hell with
average accuracy.

I am sure there are others I am forgetting in my advanced years. These are the ones that have left an impression on my grey matter.

sry Deep. i knew how to spell ur name and i guess my mistake was subconscious the 1st time but the 2nd time i didnt know how to pluralize it so i went w/ "ies" to be safe" cause jami's didnt look right. ill just stick to calling you Deep.

but im the exact same way w/ my sniper2. im the ONLY 1 that knows how to shoot it. everytime i let some1 use it all i get are bad reports in return like "man i cant hit anything w/ this gun" and nonsense.

also it took me a lot of practice alternating between both sniper2 and phantom for me to be able to use them both as well as i do.

Deep dod you member my PMI-1? that little baby was fun to play w/ and w/ that smooth brass barrel it shot darts. i picked it up 4 $20 bucks, and in the end traded it for a ULE bodied, xvalved, intell frame mag. Good trade aye Deep? lol i know you love your Mags.. but ull be happy to know that i traded that mag for a Pink FreeFlow eblade...
