hey deep : check out this theory for snipers: sweet spot your main spring..
maddman blue -- ivg all the way back, then work VOLUME and PRESSURE to accomodate the spring with the goal of leaving the IVG all the way back for lightest, fastest, smoothest possible pump.

with the pressure fixed (even at the sweet spot), adding a touch more volume brings the velocity up.

Very magical and alot of tuning. My freeflow is set perfect and probably runs around 180-200 psi with AKA Bolt, Valve and Reg.

Now my new pump that will be in this week, that will be a different story...AKA body, full internals, bolt, and 2 liter.

For some reason I decided to check my 32* today to see how she was setup. She is running at 300psi with the IVG flush and shooting a consistent 287 +/- 2.
I have no clue what internals she has or how she is sprung. If it ain't broke why bother...Actually I am a little scared to tear into her for fear of her not performing as well after the fact...

Magical? Can it operate great for years on end with no valve spring?

That fluke worked great for three years, then I added a valve spring and it has yet to return to its old consistency. Grrr. Dang you Derrick!!!
