Sniper III - turn up the volume ?

Hey guys - I picked up a stock mini-cocker body w/ stock internals w/ ccm pump kit off ebay.

I enjoy shooting Sniper II's w/ a preference for 2K0 RF w/ CCM kits @ 350 psi, CA - CO2 - open class.

And try as I may I cant stand the 800PSI operation of the Sniper III - sounds and shoots too much like a phantom for me. The high pressure pop seems to kill what I expect in my markers. I tried a few paints. I tried swapping barrels using my tried and true Kaner kit, mixing all tips, and ccm CF kit - even a hammer head.

(No offence intended to the Nelson fans here. Its a personal thing)

I tried a few bolts - (swapping back blocks as needed) incl black magic, jam, and old school SP venturi.

And nothing paint, bolt or barrel seems to produce the results of a more moderate pressure Sniper II in a side by side comparison.

I tried dropping pressure some on the SNI3, but the narrow air chamber through the CCM kit + the small air chamber in the cut down sni3 body starves for air as I dropped below 750psi.

? would an tornado valve help ?

? how about a sidewinder reg ?

any suggestions welcome.

Im on the verge of selling this thing to some stock class lover - and this is one last fling at keeping her.

A Tornado valve relies on a larger air chamber, so unless you can enlarge the air passage, that would be a waste of money.

they have the extentions for the ASAs that are INTENDED for adding a guage, but you could use it like an expansion chamber. if you're going to use HPA, you can get a long sidewinder and will have extra volume at the top there.

I'm trying to look up some pictures to get my visual tinkering bug in gear. There is always a way, and I'll find one. If you post some pics of the front/valve area of your setup, it would help a lot.
