i've seen a lot of revys... and although i haven't used one yet, i am sure there's a reason i see so many.
i currently have a winchester pocket hopper... it get the job done and presents a small target, but more than a few times i've had to bang on it to get it to gravity feed.

QFT.

Pocket hoppers are the bomb end of story... you just have to make sure you get some of them pimped out mini pods... or make them rather.

scenario ball : 200 round - 9v revy, VL 200 or Indian Springs MaxiLoader XL : then no need to carry extra paint for hours of scenario pleasure.

recball w/ back to back games : 200 round - 9v revy, VL 200 or Indian Springs MaxiLoader XL : then no need to carry extra paint for hours of recball pleasure and then no need to miss games to reload.

speedball w/ back to back games : 200 round - 9v revy, VL 200 or Indian Springs MaxiLoader XL : then no need to miss games to reload.

speedball or recball w/ breaks between games: 100 round MaxiLoader, Sportshot, whaler (good luck). good for the ad-hoc quick turnaround game

Recball w/ newbs : stick feed and a pair of 10 round tubes.

you just need to find the right kind i belive the winchesters have a "hinging lid" if i understand what you mean buy that... being the lid is attached to the hopper so it doesnot fall off when you open the hopper...?

the winchester is the one i have. it is non-hinging... meaning it comes completely off the hopper and makes the reloading process a bit more of a pain in the ass. thats really my only beef with it.
