new members announcement 1.5.2008

I know Mike "Aerion" Curtis signed up to the Carolina Interceptors (from Section8) this past week via online registration, and today via written forms we added Raptor, Big Bear, and the infamous Deebo (who got me four times today no less) to the CI roles -- all hard core section8 pump ballers.

The pump revolution is alive, well..... and growing.

It took me a while to figure that one out as well -- Im not really sure Ive nailed it, but here goes:

I got this from The Magician

"We started CI a few years ago to give all the pumpers and stockers in the Carolinas and surrounding states a chance to get together and play. The name came from the guy who got the idea, Interceptor."

Their mission statement reads:

1. To set an example to all players, field owners, observers, and refs by playing honorably and fairly.

2. To promote the sport, especially pump and stock play, in a positive light and show others that skill can overcome firepower and win, regularly.

3. To have fun and create new friendships with other players.

I kind of view it like the Scenario Brotherhood - but pump focused, not limited to scenario ball, and it actually works to gather meeting and rallies at public places and events to accomplish the mission statement above..

Calling it an organization, brotherhood, group or league all sound pretty good. I'm not real sure which label fits best. I don't think "team" fits very well.

On Jan 12th 2008 at Ballbuster's Pump Challenge Day Scrappy (Team CF) and SCpaintballer01 (Freak Show)) joined Carolina Interceptors.
