Gosh, SB... I wonder what ME can do to bring this post to the attention of CPX management? Muhuhahahahahaha....

Completely unacceptable for a field that boasts the reputation that CPX does. WTG for you!

Thanks for your comments guys, I appreciate the support.

I DID get into quite a screaming match (It would have made a sailor blush) with "Mr. Be a Man", but it didn't solve anything. I think from the attitudes of the refs, they thought I was as much to blame as the others. Due to the attitudes of the refs, I didn't talk to management: I figured that the attitudes probably filtered down from the top.

One thing I left out on purpose was the description of the players involved. Most were late twenties, early thirties, communicated amongst themselves in spainish and a few had Mexican flags on their sleeves. They acted like a bunch of "Gang-bangers".

I never made any racist remarks, but I did think em. The players on my side were DEFINATELY scared of a confrontation. And I feared I might get into a confrontation in the parking area when I left. Fortunately for both them and I, it did not happen.

I have never thought myself a prejudiced person, I feel everyone is the same, and deserving of my respect, until they prove otherwise. THESE SCUM-BAGS PROVED OTHERWISE.

Thank you again for your support. AND NO, I DON'T THINK I WILL GO BACK AGAIN... I WAS hoping to go to the RED LEGION game, in May, but I am not so sure anymore.

I am sorry to hear that anyone else has had this kind of experience.

Just makes you appreciate the kind of paintballers I have met through this forum even more...

sb it's not the spanish only it seems to be the age group late teen to late twentys think the thug attitude is where it's at. not saying all young players act like that it just seems the norm that thay have an attitude, filthy mouth, and wipe-play on. gives our sport a bad look. nobody remembers the nice guy just the jerk

Silverback,

I would be frustrated too.

I hate to say it.... but, I think I have been spoiled here at Paintball Charleston.

Not having been to another field and hearing stories like this pisses me off and makes me grateful to have PB Chas as a homefield for scenarios and recball.

The Ref Staff and Management have always been professional, champion fair play and are extremely safety conscious.

When we travel to Adventure Beach for this June's scenario, I will be watching with a very critical eye how they run their operation.

I will choose to spend my hard-earned money on fields/scenarios that have a good reputation in feedback here in the forums. I will vote with my feet and wallet.

no joke. i have met some of the upmost finest ballers here. i mean no b.s. guys and gals that take the game as a serious competitive sport and have fun with it and treat thier fellow sportsman with respect.

ive been playin events since i was 14 yrs old w/ cannibal. im 31 and i dont know how old that bastard is. at first, it was just us. i ran into a buch of these guys at mclellan. i built the team i have now on those same oldschool fundamentals. and to keep the members that wasnt used to mass gamin pure, i just stuck with big out of town fields and a kick ass producer. man, mpp all the way. king of the south east.

i found later however that sometimes, to really appreciate ballin in its splendor, you have to hit some of these poo-butt ass fields an give it a shot. i have had some shitty experiences and some good ones too.

point is... you took the risk and played a shit field and you got shit on. dont let it hinder your enthusiasm. its like being a gold prospector, you hit some crap here and there.

Great job SilverBack! As tempting as it would have been to kick their a$$es or do something really nasty that you would have later regretted, you opted to "be a man" and stand up for what you thought was wrong without stooping to their level. If there's one thing I can stand, it's punk a$$ m'fers period! We paintballers are trying to just go out and have fun while be honorable in all we do. It's just a game! We don't want a$$holes like those to ruin the sport for everybody. The public gets wind of the things that those guys do in the name of paintball and then the rest of us suffer the bad rap that will come along with it as well as someone who will try to shut the sport down. Don't even get me started on adults (and people that no better) lightin' up young kids and showing no mercy....Great job to all paintballers who try to maintain what paintball is really about!
