I agree with the many others I have been in some pretty sticky spots like this before. However if a child is involved I would have taken it very damn personal, and if that child was mine I would declared war on any one calling my child names and being over agressive like that. I know myself very well and it would have been very ugly.

If it had been MY DAUGHTER, I most likely would be in a jail cell right now. I've had a couple of nightmares to that affect, right after this event. I am well aware of how close I came anyway, if it had been my daughter, there would have been no talk, just retalliation.

Sam, this is the first time I'm glad I wasn't out on the field with you! I think I would have sent them a few bonus balls as well, I'm surprised no one else said anything to them.

I used to be on a MilSim team that was good, but boy, if things weren't going their way, they turned into a bunch of wiping crybabies. After 1 year with them, those of us that cared not only about having a good time, but also about the sport itself, left and created our own team. We are still fighting the stereotype left at the local fields by this other team, but through our communication with both players and staff, we have really been able to get even the fields that cater to speedballers to be "on our side"... It really helps to build up that level of trust with the local fields that their staff actually seem to give a damn about what you are saying and if you call for a paint check on another person, or report someone not playing safely, etc, they take care of it.

Maybe we are just lucky to have some local places that care about the sport as it obviously takes both us AND the field staff to be willing to build that relationship.

Too bad about CPX. I really wanted to play there at some point, but unless things change, I don't see it worth the 5 hour drive... At least not until our team gets bigger and we can make an event out of it.

Well stated STRYKE, it does take an effort by both the players and the field to make a successful field. We are fortunate that our local fields are run as well as they are.

Sorry about your bad time, All I can tell you their 24 hr. games must be very different, Bobio and I played the Viper Game last weekend It was one of Best ran Game. Their were plenty of Ref. on and off Field.
The field is Great , Two city one all Bldgs. and one Rubble Bldg unbeliveable, The road threw the field Has old cars and A bus along side the road Lots of Bldg on Field , Great woods, we did not use it but they have speed ball field of about 30 old cars. Marker are check all the time on and off Field , my understanding is then people that own it now bought it about 2 or 3 years ago.

Would go back if price of Gas goes down for a 24 hr Game , well worth the Expense. The only two thing did not like $80.00 a case of Paint Hamburger $4.00 , other then that it was a Great time. Some on the BEST 24 HR. team played this Game , Will go back next year for the Next Tour of Duty Game.
