Youtube paintball videos

I love watching paintball videos on youtube but I have come across one that rubs me the wrong way.
YouTube - Paintball Ambush

I posted my opinion on the intelligence of the people in the video and how badly it will hurt the sport (by cities banning it) when some idiot not wearing a mask gets his eye shot out.

They erased the comment.........maybe a few hundred more will get the point across.

Unbelievable, I posted a comment to their video as well. Sure to fall on deaf and dumb ears... When I was that age, I didn't listen either or consider the ramifications of a simple action. I doubt they will as well.

I actually recieved a private message on youtube from the guys who made the vid. They seem to understand why everyone has given them negative comments. They seem sincere enough.

I think boy's will be boy's but I also think these kids are smart enough to think about what an impact a video can make on the perception of those who oppose paintball.

I invited them to register and post on pbjunkie to talk to those who know and learn from the pros.

I am one of the creators of the video. (actually the one getting shot) I would like to say that none of us meant to hurt the sport at all, the video was simply for humor and nothing else. We had no idea that anything like this would have happened. We apologize if you took it as hurting the sport because that was not our intention at all.

It takes a true person to come on here to a group of people that you don't know and make good for something that you did not intend to put a negative effect on. Thanks,

Bravo, my friend. There may be hope for you yet. You guys were destined for the "Dummy of the Month" section of my monthly column. But by virtue of your willingness to mend fences, you're off the hook. I mirror what's already been said about it being great that you stepped up.

Now I ask the big question... How long is the video going to stay up where more impressionable idiots can see it and strive to emulate your actions?

Apologizing to the paintballers on this forum is fine, my questions is, Is the video still on YouTube receiving as many POSITIVE responses as negative?

Right!

The video should be pulled.

The paintball industry has worked hard with Hollywood to show paintball in the proper light over these past decades. Hollywood of course wanted their actors faces to be seen but were slowly convinced that showing people playing paintball without proper safety equipment was irresponsible.

The markers and the game should be shown the proper respect. These are not water pistols that we are playing with.
