With an experience level ranging from one end of the spectrum to the other and everything in between, we have quite a few team members.

Utilizing the whole "How did you hear about us" routine, the more experienced players have said PBJunkie. Without exception.

Of course quality does have its place.

As does quantity. Any girl will tell you that.

But seriously, I would like your help, and I will explain.


I am just getting into paintball and at one time my 13 yr old daughter was saying she was into it also. Now with that said she has study karate and she is good at soccer until a boy who was 16 ran her over in practice and knocked her out, however after that she was gun shy in games for almost a year. Now back to paintball she said she wanted to play because my first game will be a one day fund raiser scenario game. My friend who is a diehard player and plays on a team said I need to shoot her once to make sure that after she gets shots she will continue to play and not want to quit and ruin my day. Well I was a dumb A _ _ and said to her I need to shoot her once to see if she would be bothered by it and now she does not want to play. My quandary is we do a lot together and she was really pumped up to do this at one time but now she is not interested so what is your advice and perspective on this to help me change her mind, beside I am a idiot for even suggesting such a thing or that I listened to such horse crap advice.

I know u didnt ask for my advise, but i've been working on this for almost 10 years with alot of trail and error.

What i've done with my lil sisters is pad them up very thick and let them run with me for a couple games, during which i try to teach them strategy and set them up to flank and get a couple kills which tends to get their confidence up.
After a few games and taking a few hits she will usually get uncomfortable with all the extra layers and want to lose some of them.
Of course the first day of play is with our team only but i tell the guys NOT to take it easy on her.

So far it's worked rather well, 4 of 7 of my sis's still play paintball with us and 2 are on our scenario team.
Rage-o (the 17 year old) even likes to play the night games now. I did the same thing with her in a nite game at Luzon and she got hooked.
I've started each of them out at 12, the oldest has been playing for 7 years now.
I hope this helps, It's from a TON of trail and error.

Another thing that has helped is I'll let them use one of my markers that they feel comfortable with and that they think will match up or work better than the guys we're playing with. I try to keep the gals up on the gear and in nice equipmet, it seems to help with the confidence level.
