well said.

Jami said it best, so far. If team colors (t-shirt in this case) are given out of respect or appreciation, it is very crafty, but somewhat poor form to use them to burn the team that gave you that honor.

Well within the rules, and props for the creative thinking. Was it good form, definately not.

In the world of scenario play, there are a few bazillion players, and most will never have a "name" within the sport. Once that name becomes known (in a good way), you have to do everything you can to maintain your standards. In this case, it sounds like the standards were not maintained. No rules were broken, but the trust of other players may have been betrayed. It is a hard role to play (as in "win the game and don't piss anyone off"), but it can be done.

Thinking globaly, you might not get t-shirts from many teams in the future.

As long as you were given the shirt some months prior and wore it to denote that you were on a friendly team I say its a real cool idea, as long as your tape and perhaps your tag are showing.

I tend to agree a little with everyone on this one. Coming from a military background, I can see the true genius of the idea to employ enemy colors in an attempt to assassinate a leader. For this, I think Viper was brilliant. However, I do agree that using a t-shirt that was awarded to him for his outstanding and 'up' standing play was a little questionable.

All in all , I think the play was fantastic, but the means was off.
The apology should go a long way here. How many of us have done questionable things in the heat of the moment? It takes a real man to stand up and ask for forgiveness.

I tried to put myself in team Hardballs shoes. If I had given Viper one of our shirts and he had pulled this on me I'm sure I would have felt angry and hurt at the time (immediatedly). I also though think that with a little time (5 min), knowing who it is and what we were doing that I would have laughed it off. I do not think I would have held hard feelings, and most likely later would have toasted Viper and his accomplice with a few malted beverages for an audacious move. This is me though and most of the time I'm easy going and could care less what the score is.

I can understand if a team felt betrayed from Viper's action. I think Viper owning up to the decision and acknowleding it on a public forum goes far to saying he still is an upstanding player. As someone else here said we all have made questionable decissions in a game. I think it was a good move but the negitive consequences outweighed the positive in this case where if it was me the positive would have outweighed negative.

For me as long as what was done was within the rules, I am fine with it. I don’t know if I would be fine though if I gave someone a gift and they used it against me like that. I think there may be two issues going on here. But I certainly would not let it bother my friendship, either way. It is a GAME, and as long as what was done was within the rules and no “malice” was intended or anyone got harmed in any way, it’s all good.

Hey security…. What’s up?
