An apology from Viper

I found this at pbnation and I'm curious to know your thoughts on this issue:

From Viper:

I have caught a bit of grief from a few people for something done during the Grand Finale. I was given a Team Hardball tshirt by Jammer a number of months back as a token of their esteem. While commanding against him at the event last weekend I used that shirt to get one of my command staff into their base and eliminate Jammer. His ID was never checked, and he walked in with no tape on. I didn't use it to get numerous players taped or anything outrageous, just a quick general kill.

However, this has been referred to as "shocking" "dishonorable" "unethical" and many other adjectives. As someone who tries to hold himself to a strict code of fairness and sportsmanship I would like to apologize to Jammer and his teammates for this ploy. I intended no personal hard feelings or disrespect.

I thank One Man Army for the move, and applaud his accomlishment, but I would like the 100 points subtracted from my score.

I formally apologize to Jammer and Hardball for any disrespect they felt I was showing. That was not my intention, and I have great respect for the team.

Sounds like sour grapes to me - I say good clean clever play by Viper. Im jealous I didnt think of this one myself - legally scamming an enemy jersey..!

It is a clever move indeed; that said, I think it is underhanded and goes against the code of the Brotherhood.

Good apology. One of those things that walks the line, really sneaky. Kind of like a dead man's walk.

Viper's apology...

Whether you agree or disagree that this play was above board...the long and the short of it seems to be base security. Had they been doing their job(which as I see it is to challenge everyone!!!!sort out the legal kick out the bums) this would have been a mute point... the fact that security assumed anything because of a t-shirt??? is the real issue. Caught in your own malfunction is what really hurts.

That's why Blackheart security is known for shooting their own.

Interglacials are short and then we enter the nasty brutishness of the glacial periods.

'Cause we ain't pump centric it can take half a hopper to hit someone crossing the tape line. Then again it's a lesson they remember.

I can see where some people would be irritated at this move but I don't know. I think Viper used all the tools at his disposal to try and win the game so at least give him props for that.
