Anyone get a chance to play this weekend? Kinda muddy here but we made the most of it.

Ankle deep on the airball field. I usually play in crocs so as soon as I took one step I was like well I'm barefoot now.

I talked to Death by Daddy today. They are out at Bear Claw doing a ton of work on the field. Getting it ready for the game.

I'd carfully consider playing in Crocs at Bear Claw, Pook. I'm a Croc-aholic. Since most of my right ankle is titanium, they're a lifesaver for me standing all day. Figured that they'd be great to play in. I found that Bear Claw has a generous quanity of ground thorns that vary in size, but average around one inch. That in itself, sucks. But what happens is that you step on them, they go into the Croc and break off. You're walking along and the broken one manages to wiggle it's way closer to your foot, finally sticking you JUST as you go to run or try to stop. Then you try to find it, but when you take the pressure off, the thorn retreats a bit back into the soft rubber. Not feeling anything, you put it back on and the process repeats itself until you finally figure it out. I is quite the pain in the ass... AND foot... I found some old school black Reebok high tops that are featherlight and have ankle support for right around $40 at Academy.

Things are coming together nicely, but it would help immensely if the rains would hold off or at least lessen in frequency.

Rejoice brothers and sisters!

Forecast predicts perfect playing conditions...have a look at Weather.com

Sure, there's gonna be some soggy weather Friday, but it won't be raining while the paint is flying.
