BYOP Events and Restrictions on paint

OK - Rich's review on the mout game opened a good question..
What paint is not good for a scenario game? You guys chime in and Ill use the compiled bits into a list that Ill use and maybe others will see and use. This will help others putting on BYOP events..

Let me start :

NOT ALLOWED
Anything not 68 caliber
RED : Anything with Red Shell or Red Fill - Could be confused for real blood.
EVIL ULTRA : pink - stains cloths, trees and structures.

First and foremost. All scenario's should be BYOP for all events. Promoter's and Field owners should come up with a charge and add extra staff to check that you have some sort of ID tag that permits you to have your own paint throughout the event. If none of that works, come up with a system that permits the player to bring his/her own paint.

The last 3 - 4 events I've played the paint was very POOR and unacceptable. Sooner or later we are going to stop coming to events that are FPO because of the garbage promoters/field owners are selling. The bottom line is I think teams are going to start planning their schedules that have this type of option and I think the promoters/field owners, etc who implement this system first will be on top of the "NUMBERS" game.

If scneario's are restricted as in the MOUT site, the NOT PERMITTED list needs to be published and available before registration begins and it should not be changed unless a new brand is released during registration.

The color restriction on paint at the MOUT site was for the staining and cleanup which is totally understandable. What was not understandable was the addition to the NOT PERMITTED list 2 days prior to the event.

My two.

staining paints (summary from the Mout Game forum)

Any Pink, Red or Blue fill or any Tourney Grade "Anti-Wipe fill" including but limited to:

PROBALL -- It dries into some god awful powder and leaves a permanent residue.

ANARCHY paint
(distributed by Nelson)
quote "Bright Mark, Super thick No wipe fills"

HELLFIRE and HELLFIRE PRO
(distributed by Draxxus)
quote "intensely bright with reduced staining"
(so the staining is still there)

EVIL paint (pink fill)
(distributed by PMI)
quote from Andrew @ PMI Southeast-
"no Evil paint w/pink fill, it will stain. Other Evil fill colors are alright"

ULTRA EVIL paint
(distributed by PMI)
quote from Andrew @ PMI Southeast-
"will stain your hands for three weeks"

420, CHRONIC, AMP paint
(distributed by ZAP)
quote "anti-wiping"

Blue/Wildstreak
