All,
The final push is on! The Commonwealth Expeditionary Force is filling up at an amazing rate! We can take great pride in the fact that, as of this week, the 6th Airborne Division (9th British Parachute Infantry and 1st Canadian Parachute Infantry) is the first unit to officially reach maximum capacity for Oklahoma D-Day 2008. It is a testament to the skill, ability, performance, and character of those who play with the Commonwealth every year, that so many new players continue to be drawn to the ranks of Commonwealth units. Our work, however, is far from over. The East Yorkshire Regiment and the Royal Winnipeg Rifles still need additional personnel to fill their ranks. Anyone still interested in attending D-Day, but who have missed their opportunity to join with the airborne should be encouraged to enlist with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles or the East yorkshire Regiment and join the assault on Sword Beach. There are still several months between now and D-Day. Lets use those months to build up an even stronger and more robust Canadian presence for D-Day 2008. The Commonwealth has recently had several new Airbourne slots open up. There are 14 for the British 9th PIR and 24 for the Canadian 1st PIB. Get 'em while they're hot. Make sure you notify your commander, after you have registered. Once these get used up, there will be no more. The British 41 Royal Marines Commando has only three slots left, but there are plenty of infantry slots in the East Yorkshire Regiment, Royal Winnipeg Rifles, Canadian Scottish Regiment and the 13th/18th Light Dragoons. Don't delay, sign up today!
Cheers
