D-Day Question
Hey USAMOW and Dorsai, I am guessing they dont have a problem with any normall looking mil-Sim equipment?
Just wanted to play with the Mini-Gun. Also how do they work out the rules for ROF on double Troubles?

Double troubles are fine, there are not any restrictions on BPS as long as the rules of one shot per pull and HOLD of the trigger are followed. (ramping, and RT's) also legal. If you are running a T-Board on a multi barrel electric though you would have to get a clarification on that part of the rules. Since each pull would result in a shot from each barrel.

If I were you I'd get in touch with Jeremy for clarification.
I have it on good authority the Germans are expected to bring one or more quadzillas this year. If it were left up to me, I'd limit the ROF and let everyone bring what they wanted, so long as it met the ROF rule. Making something that looks like 'real' is cool, getting hit by someone who can put 60 balls a second on a target, who doesn't know when enough is enough is trouble waiting to happen. I'm not saying that will happen, all I'm saying is why take that chance? Sincerely,

I am guessing a Dual ION gun would be basically the same rate of fire as any DT fielded (generally the A-5) but with mods that could be approaching 60 bps combined (so could a DT A-5 though with mods).
However, don't have a ruling from the Staff yet, so have to see what come of it. I am guessing it is some type of dual boarded gun; single trigger pull would fire two balls? The statements I have seen specify one trigger pull and hold = one ball, no burst modes allowed, but a crank shoots what 6 per gun per revolution? A trigger would be the same as far as I was concerned. heres the thread on the D-Day forum: legality of non-firestorm DT's I'm sure it'll get a responce sometime, what or when that will be I would not know. |

last post says that as long as it function as the guns all respond to the trigger pull in the prescribed manner: IE one shot (per barrel) with a pull and hold of the trigger. It would be legal. which is to say, set it to semi or ramping and lay some waste, just let me stand behind you when you lite 'er up.

You can also use a crank on your DT or dual ION set up.
