If fields were charging 40-45 a case for Bronze or mid grade paint, you wouldnt see complaints from the PB core players. What you see is people complaing about places like paintball atlanta who are field paint only and $80 a case or $60 for garbage.
$65 a case for bronze is out of line. Seriously when i can get something on the internet for <$40, and i am required to pay you $65 for it.. Im not verry happy. O and you guys rock i cant wait to play there in march. |

40$ / case is AWESOME, but I will pay more, up to 60$ / case, for better paint.

I see no problem with FPO for scenarios or use in the field rentals on walk on days, never have. The field is a business and has to make money to survive. I fully believe in supporting the field I am playing at, especially my home field.
Granted, if it is like Skirmish is/was (i dont go there) and $100 for a case of paint, they aint getting my business. Generally I like to see a field to have decent white box for $40 - $45. Of course just wait till the hike in prices start hitting us. That $100 a case may not be that far off for the good stuff. |

I've got one excellent solution for high paint prices:
Play Pump |

There are several things that come into play here, cheap paint is what it is junk. Nothing sucks like going to an event where paint is 80 a case and your gun won't shoot it even with a 696 barrlel, and I know the paint company and can buy it for 17 a case much less watching 1200 people standing in line to buy it. But you know it before you go to the game And I agree producers need to make money as a field owner I realize that daily. But to openly ass rape the public is bad business, yet the same people who do all the complaining are right back at the next game bending over to get there paint. I have no fight with any producer and will not name names and start a pissing match, people we are all ignoreing the elephant in the room we know who they are so if you want to change it simply stop going to their games and tell them I like your game hate the paint and be nice about it. It either continues or stops with you. Many of these producers bring nothing to the sport, and only leach from it and bleed the customer dry for money. I like to go to a game hosted by a field owner , his income and reputation are on the line each game and they protct that. Put money back into the sport not some guy who does 10 games a year at someone elses field and laughs each time he looks at the paint sales numbers , then goes home and says lets do another game and make fat money off of these dumb ass paint ballers we won't even have to buy any many prizes if any, call the paint company see what deal they have this week any what prizes they will give us to give out that way it looks like we awarded a lot of prizes. Now some of you may not like what I said here but beleive me this is what is going on. I am not going to say stay home and not play, far from it support the good fields and producers and go play knowing the you didn't have to use prep h at the paint trailer this morning. Moderator leave this post up I AM saying what I feel everyone else knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really can't get into this right now and this is not an argument, but an observation, but you obviously DO have a problem with a producer(s). You complain of them "ass-raping" the public. And $17 bucks a case for paint? We have a pro-shop, field and production company. We have access to Procaps and PMI/RPS. We use RPS exclusively. I can't remember the last time I saw seventeen bucks a case paint from either of those companies. And we don't use the other paint providers because their product is too expensive. I would have to class $17 a case paint in the Academy-Wal Mart alley. And if I knew that was the paint that a producer is using, I would certainly take him to task on it, personally. If he continued on the same path, then refuse to play his games. Players are going to do what they like. Follow the path you're taking in the other post you made. Do your own thing. Obviously you either have a field or experience with one.
