Wow, they just did this a couple of months ago. While replacing all the netting damaged by last year's hurricanes they have a netted dead man's walk behind the south treeline protecting the factory.

Even when you get through the line, you still have to deal with a very bitchy and unappreciative person who acts like you should kiss her ass for the privilege of registering 50 players at $50 each. If I have a single customer walking up to my window with $2500 in hand (actually, pre paid via internet), I would be as polite as humanly possible. That actually should not change, whether it is a single registration or several hundred. Jackie is just plain rude, and does not show any respect towards the players that support her. She should be as nice as possible to each and every player that walks in her front door.
I can't really argue the point of the Dollack's personalities, because working with them these past three year's has been interesting. I am a laid back southerner and just don't relate well to non-southern (east southern anyway) personalities, but at their core they are good people.

Rose (who I believe is a true southerner) and several others have been more on the front-lines of the registration process these past couple of years and it has always been incredibly well organized even without considering the enormous task of processing 1,700 people.

Dogs. I have to agree COMEPLETELY. The dogs were gone for the longest but one just found his way back into the pen. Being a pet owner, it seems inhuman to lock up dogs like that. I may show Wayne your list of suggestions (with some editing ) this week. Hopefully he will treat them positively.

For past Grand Finales Wayne has used the Discipline Lords as the reffing crew. Also known simply as "The Canadians," Cliff Meier and his band have been reffing tourneys and big recreational events since 1990.

BTW, also from up yonder....The Blues Crew is coming to the Grand Finale to fight for Viper.

Wayne still has a very respectable field, and I am not trying to keep people from playing his events. This all started with a “its nice to see Wayne investing in his field AGAIN” comment. Hopefully the new city will take him up to the level of the old Challenge Park or SC Village. It does get frustrating (as a field owner) to see another field with TONS more potential, that still continues to have the problems that Wayne’s World has. He needs to fix some of the issues to stay on par with other fields around (paint prices, air system, registration process…) I wish the best for Wayne, and will probably organize a big group of players to attend one of his events next year (even after I promised not to go back after my previous visit). I really would like to see some improvements, and it is nice to hear that the south boundary has been netted off (have not seen that one personally). As a field owner, I make every effort possible to address complaints or constructive criticisms. If the issue is not being addressed, it gives the impression that the owners don’t care. When the owners don’t care, why should the players? The “I don’t care” signal is the only one I have received from Wayne or Jackie over the past few years.

Remember the days he would put on a costume and wander the staging area during Friday and Saturday nights? He really cared about the sport and the players back then, but I have not gotten that same feedback from him over the past 2-3 years.

Registering that many players is a huge task, and our field is not capable of that sort of effort at this time. I understand that Jackie does her best, but she needs to bring more people into the picture, or get some trustworthy help. PAY THEM, manage them, hold them accountable and expect professional quality work out of them. The current system frustrates more players than he will ever know.

There is a downside to all of this… If he manages to fix all of the issues, he will have 3000 players showing up every Saturday expecting a perfect scenario. There won’t be room to move, and the whole field will be a big meat grinder. Every one will shoot tons of paint because they can actually get >2700 PSI in a tank, and could afford to shoot 3 cases per person. If the issues were fixed, I would be in the middle of the meat grinder several times a year, with dozens of teammates every time.

It would probably be a good idea to show Wayne a list of the issues that have been brought up. He might not know that most of the issues exist (he HAS to know about the air system), therefore, has done nothing to address them. Feel free to edit any and all comments if you think he will respond better that way. I would like to see his field realize its potential and nothing I have stated is out of malice, but more out of little brotherly concern.

PS: Ragtop… I thought you were working out of North Carolina somewhere?

Arrow Chruch is almost finished

Wow, seeing something you hacked together in a 3d software program become real, it is a feeling that is hard to describe.

Chris "Pipe Bomb" and crew have done an amazing job of making this thing a reality. He said they are even putting in the bell tower.

Getting some more boards bricked up for the Storefront, and yes that is the poor pavilion underneath all those boards
