An Epic Paintball Event!!!

The year is 2011 and gas is $13.50 a gallon. Most of the oil fields are running dry. The Caspian Sea is still one of the last remaining large oil fields in the world but it's land locked with Russia, Iran and a handful of other small Republics. Relations with Russia have deteriorated dramatically since it had formed an alliance with Iran and assisted them in developing their nuclear capabilities in return for more oil rights in the Caspian Sea. Instability is at all time high in the Middle East and has spread to the Republics in the North Caucasus, specifically Dagestan and Chechnya. Most of these former Soviet States have made attempts to join NATO; however they have been suppressed by the Russian Military through force and assassinations of key leaders.

From Russia's point of view, NATO's eastward expansion and attempted influence over the North Caucasus since the end of the Cold War has been in clear breach of a prior agreement and a continued attempt to surround and isolate Russia. However, from NATO's vantage point, these small countries are of great strategic importance because of the BTC (Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan) pipeline. The BTC brings oil and gas from fields in the Caspian Sea to ports in the Black Sea and then to most of Europe.

The Country of Georgia, being a newly admitted member of NATO, has now become a launching ground for Clandestine Low Intensity Operations into the former Soviet States. In Chechnya and Dagestan, US Special Forces have had tremendous success and the Chechnyan Resistance Fighters have declared war on the Russian Controlled puppet government.

Both NATO and Russia have moved large forces into the area. The risk of a full-blown war is eminent.

Pre-registration forms are now available. CPX Sports has set the price as only $25 per person for pre-registration, which includes entry, unlimited air fill, event ID and mission cards. We are working to get a full-color event patch created as well. Paint will be $60 pre-paid cases of RPS premium grade. For those who have played at the 143-acre, $6.5M facility, it is the lowest price ever offered at CPX Sports for a major "Big Name Big Game" event. There are few names in the industry as big as Dewayne Convirs and Bill Bailey.

The Hellions will be fielding a tank for the event. We are working with a couple of other regional teams to bring armor as well. There will be tons of scenario extras such as paintball mortars, mines and smoke grenades and mission props. The missions are completely different from past CPX events. There are NO BASES for players to defend--or cower in. The scenario will feature concurrent mission objectives, multiple insertion points and numerous non-player character roles. There will be Snipers, Medics, Anti-Armor and Special Forces/Spetsnaz special mission roles as well.

Okay gas prices are soaring and it is digging deep into all us paintball poor fanatics pockets that are trying to make it to high profile games far from home.

Team Green Devils has a caravan heading out of Kansas City friday morning and will be returning home after the game on Saturday. So far we have 10 members and two vehicles with enough room for 3 more players if anyone is interested. Gas cost is being divided evenly between everyone going and we are looking at approximately 40.00 per person in gas expenses for 10 and even less if we get 3 more. We will also be taking our team GP medium tent so you will more than welcome to camp with us if you chose to do so. Just bring a sleeping bag and a cot. 25.00 registration fee + 60.00 for a case of paint + 40.00 in gas = 125.00 That makes for a pretty cheap game at one of the worlds top premier paintball fields.
