guys, my team has just made an alliance with one of the newer fields in my area. this place is huge like bearclaw and has an awesome and diverse field. it could handle a large game very comfortably. there is an urban battlefield, a tankers field, woods with buildings and bases and bunkers, roads winding through it all for intense battles with armor. the whole works. the owner and staff are nice down to earth folks who are game and player oriented. we are looking forward to a long and beneficial friendship and actaully having our very own home field. this field has been developed and staffed right up there with some of the other big game fields i have hit and is totally geared for a big scenario. the owner is a defense contractor analyst and has told me that promotion and advertising are not his strongpoints. this is were i will come in and help him gain some field notoriety for all his hard work and money. please visit thier website and check out the pictures.
Welcome to Play Paintball - East Tennessee's Premier Paintball Complex!
on to the point. it has always been a dream of mine to produce a scenario game taking in all the experiences i have had playing paintball. i would like to structure for us a "modern day combat" 24hr scenario with complex and diverse missions and objectives and intricate props that are interactive. i have had alot of experiences with game missions, as my team is a mission team. i have guys on my team that are fabricators, machinists, electricians and tech geeks that are going to design and build some seriously interesting props that are actually player interactive and relate to a factions success in the game. i would like to structure a game based on a real life military engagement, yet gear it totally original. lets say, something that could actually happen in our time. this means no magical harry potter wands or god mode players or silly twists to the game that are absurd. i am not a milsim buff, but i would like to keep it within the bounds of reality.
i would like to incorporate things i have enjoyed at other large games. things like the tank olympics, player party friday night with cool off field activities for the kids, good food that will be catered and cooked on site, post game prize raffle, awards ceremony and have actual trophies for teams that win mvt and sportsmanship, etc.
now, i am not trying to get rich and i really dont care about the money as long as it breaks even. i think we could do say 50 bux flat per player includes all event air. have low grade paint at like 40 per case and high grade at no more than 60. have some bbq catered and offer a reasonable price for a plate and have reasonable concessions. have free camping. maybe work out a discounted rate at the local hotel for all you not wanting to camp. give out a nice patch and a laminated map in the player packets. my goals here are to watch something that i have made unfold into a fun and adventurous time for everyone, to help a new and undiscovered field gain a little notoriety, host an affordable and kick ass game to show my thanks to all my paintball buddies that have helped me along the way and to make some new paintball friends.
most of you guys know me as an avid player and a stand up individual. i feel that i have the experience, the cpabilities and the dedication to host a badass game for us. none of this is going to happen if i dont have the support of the players on a grassroots level. i would schedule such an event as not to interfere with any other producers event. so, i ask you, if i were to spend the time, effort and money to design us a game and staff it for you and have it built up with all the bells and whistles, would you come to play it?
