The Invasion of Japan ABP 4/5/08 Myrtle Beach SC
Join us on April 5th, 2008 as we clash in this epic battle which has yet to be written!
The Invasion of Japan August 6th, 1945… Light broke over the horizon as a single B-29 Superfortress approached the coast of Japan. It held within its belly the most devastating weapon man had yet produced. The early morning sun seemed to set the sky on fire; yet weak compared to the fire which would burn in mere moments. As the bomber climbed, the tall buildings of Hiroshima could be seen in the distance. The B-29 levels off… …but then at 08:14, a faint call is heard over the radio; barely audible. Yet, it spoke louder than all other words to that date in history: “Abort mission! Abort mission! Return to base!” Political forces within the United States and Australia have decided that a more “conventional” solution should be sought to end the Second World War: INVADE JAPAN! Join us on April 5th, 2008 as we clash in this epic battle which has yet to be written! COSTS & FEES Game Registration – $35.00 All pre-registered players prior to March 29th. Qualify for a 5.00 per case Discount on Paint. Teams registering 10 players or more receive an additional 1.00 off. (6.00 per. case savings on game day.) Registration are non refundable after March, 29th Paint Prices (Field Paint Only!) $45 Basic Training, $55 Ink’d, $65 Proball Paint Deal Update: New off the Press............. Adventure Beach has secured 105 cases of Proball 2400 count cases for the Japan game April 5th Price will be $55.00 per case. Remember: All Pre registered players receive a 5.00 discount on paint the day of the event. This will be on a first come first serve bases. This will replace the INK’d at 55.00 per case. As with most major campaigns of the Second World War, the "big battle" was usually fought at the beginning of an operation; not at the end. So, to hold true to history, the following is an outline of the 1st mission for the "Invasion of Japan":
The Japanese know that the Americans and Australians are coming. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Japanese have fortified all their defenses. The Japanese General may place his troops ANYWHERE in the play area prior to game on. They may occupy any base or area they wish. Afterall, the entire play area IS Japan and the Allies are the invaders! The Allies will be clustered in the beach landing zone just to the east of Tokyo (the town at ABP). And yes, it is just like a beach; flat and wide open! At game on, the Allies MUST take and HOLD Tokyo in order to setup their HQ. It does not matter if the assault lasts 30 minutes or 2 hours…Tokyo must be taken! Of course, the Japanese will defend Tokyo to the last man! When (and IF) Tokyo is taken, the Allies can setup their HQ and the next mission will begin! That, my friends, should start the game with a big bang!

And just to make things interesting for the first battle...
If Allied troops are shot out, they regenerate from the Beach Landing Zone. If Japanese troops are shot out, they regenerate from Fort Tanaka. See the attached map for locations. Also, there will be an option for Naval Bombardment as well. More hints coming soon!
