Nice field with some real interesting structures. I'd guess in the 30 acre range with huge stumps and tree sections for some awsome bunkers. The game ran pretty smoothly with short lines overall. I had a good time though kind of far for us to travel but a nice change in pace and place.

To all the guys who went up with us [Grendel, Chappy, Clay Dirt, Sonic, Junkie, Big Bear, Sarge, Brain and Rasta] I enjoyed the company. To bad the weather did not allow us to hang outside at night and trade more stories. If you have not been to Sherwood Forest before I would recommend it for a nice change if you are looking for big structures. I only wish it had been dryer.

Overall I enjoyed the game. Our team [the losers :( ] did not do a good job of coordinating assets and were out played as a whole team. Congratulations to the Terrorists on winning, you did what you needed to do to beat us. One thing I did not like was that arm bands were optional. I think this "level of realness" is unnecessary and can be the cause of unnecessary animosity between players at times but it is something I can live with. From my understanding from the regular Viper games players that this is a normal and expected rule so once you are expecting it, not a particular big deal.

I would like to thank all of the players, refs and staff at the event. From what I saw there was very little "Drama" at this event. In particular I saw and heard a lot of players calling out, "good shot", "way to go..." and so forth between players. It is nice to go to a game where there is not a lot of bitching and moaning.

To add to what Grendel said, I loved the field. That field has some awesome structures and big bunkers for older slower fat guys like me! The bunkers were all huge and the area was cleared out of brush and such making it a pumpers paradise!

Awsome sportsmanship and honesty this past weekend. Everybody I was fortunate enough to hit called themselves out and I did not see one issue on the field.

The reffing I thought was really good. At one point I saw a ref hand chrono all the players in the surrounding area of the big castle and he sent one player off the field after he was caught shooting over 300. I was really impressed by that and it's something you don't see that often.

Next lets talk about the paint. I thought it was really good and man did it break on contact. At one point I turned side ways behind a tree that was unfortunately not big enough to cover me and one ball just barely swiped across my gut and broke...

I had 4500 fills all weekend and there was NO LINES anywhere! I felt compelled to chrono my marker everytime I was near the chrono becuase there wasn't anybody waiting in line. Can't beat that.

Unfortunately I went under the scalpal as soon as I got home yesterday. I had a tic buried deep next to the jewls and I'm now on antibiotics.. Go figure...I always spray on Deep woods before the games and I didn't do it because the gnats and skeeters were non existant in the cool weather up there.

Thanks to Viper, Sherwood Forest Staff and everyone who worked this game. I had a blast.. Now if we could just get some of you to cover our $900 gas bill...

Really? That must be because we are so used to having a lot of brush obscuring our view on other fields. No matter the size there never was an "overcrowded" feeling you sometimes get during scenarios.

The actual playing field is what Grendel was referring to I believe. It was small but played VERY well with the number of players and terrain. I as well did not like the lack of team identification, and as a player who doesn't like to shoot someone who doesn't deserve it, I suffered from it. I do applaud the players integrity at the game. I did not see anyone play on or complain about being shot. For 17 hours of driving and $$$ in gas money it was worth it (being in an RV helped).

The playing field is what I was referring to.

I wouldn't travel 1000 miles to try and produce a scenario on 30 acres.
