I gotta agree. He's not gonna get the air flow he needs with an unmodified rainbird. (In picture it looks like the valve is slaved to the power supply from a drill...) Now if he pulled the solenoid and enlarged the bleed hole (Manual release) to the diaphragm........

And I thoung my big gun was too big. That thing is a monster.

I wonder if it is a double with a shroud. I had built a bouble, but the weight was too much, so she got disasymboled. (sp)

I gotta get back into building a few more cannons. I miss launching nerfs. I may break down and build something big. Just to play with around the house. Never know when you may need to take out an ultralite or something.

I concur, some things are just easier to buy than build. I love mine so much, I just ordered a second one.

Sorry, I'd love one, but I just can't justify the $400 price tag in my budget.
I made mine for less than $40, including dual firing switch circuitry (one for a safety, and one for firing) Okay it's not as compact, it's about 40", but I used a larger chamber so I'd still be well within the pressure limits of the Sch.40 w/o going to a metal pipe and tube design. Sure, the constant air is definitely the compact way to go, but those fittings and adapters add up fast. (That's probably 100 dollars worth of that 400 total!)

I get about 1 yd distance per psi up to what I safely limit the design to at 115 psi. But to pass chrono, I limit the presure to under 90-100 during games.

Don't get me wrong, I still want the JCS one, but I'll be happy to build anyone one just like mine.

I would like one of the MKX launchers, but that is more than I am willing to pay, when I can build a launcher for far cheaper. Plus as many of us builders jsut like building them. To be honest, I think I liked building them almost as much as using them. Gives me something to piddle with, on my days off.
