Nix, it was a riot running with u and your team, i hope to see ya'll at Bearclaw in december. the last 45 mins of the game in the village with you guys was a medics dream (or nightmare), wounded everywhere.......
Thx for guarding me as i ran around getting lost in the smoke trying to find who was yelling for me.

This was by far one of the strangest missions i've run as a medic and quite possibly one of the most exhilarating.
We had a run in with a jap who got the drop on us on the way to one of the fields, he had some problem with a medic being sneaky and hidding behind the wounded man to heal him w/o the jap's knowledge and then the healed guy shooting him. props to the ref from Omni who came and cleared it up for us.
After we arrived at the objective and the other american went to his position I laid there for 5 mins cowering behind the bunker and praying that all the japs in the field wouldn't simultaneously find and shoot me , they were the longest 5 mins of my life.
.
(and yes, i live a rather boring life)

Omnicool,

We REALLY appreciate your team reffing! I have always been a bit disappointed that some of PBC's best players were reffing instead of playing during EVERY scenario. Yes, some of the refs were confused with the rules ("yes, a medic can heal themself", "no, they can't", "I'm not sure"), but as Tim & Tim said, the rules were complex and many. There was some confusion on rocket hits, but they were always worked out between the shooter and the target.

But in all cases that I saw, the refs were honorable and polite and were doing their best.

And personally, I'd rather see Casey reffing than shooting at me (dang him and his pump!).

Regarding nerf rockets, your refs went out of their way to find them for me. At Bato two of them picked up my rockets (about 12...the American engineers kept rebuilding it until we finally wore them down) and returning them to me.

Same at the depot, tunga, and all those other foreign places. I did lose two rockets over the day, but considering I probably took 100 shots, that was pretty good.

Also, I carried a LAWS and everytime I passed a ref they would dig into their pockets and see if any of the rockets they carried were mine.

Thanks again for reffing. We appreciate it!

Omnicool :

Hats off to you and your troop man. Ive had plenty of time in the the head ref slot and I know quality and character when I see it.

I see it.

Sure Ben's rules are plentiful and subject to interpretation -- and believe me when I say the die hard roll players play the line - frequently pushing the refs around a bit on the interpretation. Ben usually get the last call. Thats is what he is there for as the GAMESMASTER.

I say this to the die hard roll players : if it looks like you are dealing with a ref not completely up to speed on the finer points - BACK OFF what you are trying to do and check with Ben in person next time you are near the god box.

Like Ben says : you can lie .. you just can't cheat. This is one of the things that makes it a Scenario Game and not just a pricey out of town rec day.

Nuf said by me.

I have to agree with Thumper on this one, I did not get to see you too much on Saturday, but I did see you a couple times while you were up at the Jap base, on Sunday. ( Even though I didn't recognize you at first, maybe my meds are out of wack... ) And then you came right down the hill with our tank during one of the last pushes and kept things in good order, even through the chaos of those last few minutes.

All the guys I have met from Team Omniforce, are stand-up people, and would play side-by-side, or kick their ass from the other side, it's all good.

Thanks for being there even if I didn't get to see you mugs very much.

all i said bro was i saw a guy stuff rockets in his pocket. he had and entire hand full( 3 rockets) and a BDU pocket full (another 3 or so rockets) and i just didnt see Ben toss back but 2 or 3 of them. thats why i clearly said "whos to say he[your guy] didnt personally return them..."

your quickness to defend yourself and your team over the very SLIGHT aligation i presumed leads me to believe you might not be as honest as you say. guilty conscience?

Ok, Aggsauce,

Here goes--Listen up--

I've reading this stuff & , just so you know, I wouldn't deny you the right to express your opinion one bit, BUT....

Omniforce is a great team. I've played with them & against them many times. They are a great bunch & family oriented. If everyone was like them, there wouldn't be 3/4 of the arguing in paintball. They don't think their manhoods on the line everytime they lock & load.

Now I'm Baptist, not Catholic, but you might as well be calling Mother Teresa a self-indulgent slacker. Yep, I'm not kidding. Anybody that knows Onmiforce knows you're out in left field on this one. My friend, you need to back off on this part of your argument.

And Omnicool is just that--he's a truly great guy.

I'm not W. Cronkite, but that's the way it is.

I'll second that. I have met very few people as honest and trustworthy as Omnicool. I consider him to be a friend to me and my team, a great supporter of the Str8balla/Honorball movement, and a truly great paintball player (and yes it takes more than raw skill to be called that).

I have to agree with what has been stated above. Russel an myself are teammates through the OSF SE Ground Pounders http://www.strike-force.net/index.php I consitter your comment not only to be a Slap in he face to Omnicool. But the OSF as a whole! It goes against our Code Of Conduithttp://www.strike-force.net/showthread.php?t=4
Him an his Team are nothing but a bunch of stand-up honest players. Who play the game the way it was meant to be played!

With Integrity!!
