I'd like to thank everyone who has commented on the team's and my behalf, but please just let this go. Leyte was a great game and I think most everyone had a great time. I don't want a couple of negetive commet take away from the fun experience that most enjoyed. I'm not worried about the commets and I'm focusing on the great players and teams that I met.

Ben and Bonnie has the best games that are always lots of fun so let here about that. Myself reffing at PBC is going to be one of my best experience because I could really see the sportsmanship that make scenario ball great.

So what was your best experience?

Play safe and have fun,
Omnicool

Sorry Mouthpiece, I confused you with another player (I think Steers) I was up there with you for base security for a while. It was nuts, especially when I find out we were shoulder-to-shoulder with those other nasty American infiltrators.

It was still a brilliant strategy, and I'm still glad it didn't work!
LOL, yes, sorry for the late post...got class on weekdays.

Good move on sending me away the first time....all of that talk with no gun, I did kind of bury myself by coming without the gun adn with a satchel charge .

Just to clear the confusion, as soon as I broke visual contact of the base check point guys, I sprinted, to the bell (did not ring the bell, but touched the rope), to our base fort wall, and to the main entrence to the jap base.

Note* the first time I came up that hill by the big net.

Some doubt that I could have made that run in 5 minutes or less, but those on the american side will vouch that I have been doing that all weekend. And I did have a good flash light to guide the way. The only part where I walked was when I was leaving the village heading towards the jap entrance.

Before I left base>

I was given an enemy player's card by our general....as other American infiltrators did, making it possible to enter the base, and I figured that it was legal, since at the time, there were no less than 2 guys practically living in the jap base, with one even in charge of base security

Unlike SCBRian and one other guy, the american general gave me some enemy tape that was "found" (I really don't know) and put it on my mask. On the way there, I felt that the tape found from the ground was borderline cheating, so I tore it off before arriving to base.

My plan was to do what scbrian and the other guy did, which was to present the found enemy card and get the japs to put on enemy tape, which I HAVE HEARD IN PAST GAMES, IS ACCEPTABLE, but after the first time failing, and on the second time, having gotten so close to the enemy base cp, I was a little anxious, which was my downfall as a enemy player aimed his gun at me. At that point I knew I was dead, and I put my butt (full of explosives) against the CP and said that I was dead.

In all of the intensity of the moment, I kind of forgot that I didn't have tape and realized soon after that there was no way that Ben T. or the refs would accept the kill.

To all of those who were confused and upset, I do apologize, but honestly, if the rules are broken, or misinterpreted in any way, you can bet your bottom dollar, that Ben T. will investigate every angle of the situation before awarding any points to any side....this goes for any game.

and also, if you do not read the rules and ask questions before you come to a game, please be good enough to let the ref's deliberate with ben t. before you start arguing. -thanks

-SC Brian was good enough to shoot my foot in all of the excitement, which to me still has me laughing now... I think there was some pleasure in doing that...hmmm. I don't know .

It was my fault was me walking to fast towards the CP and that guy listening to that 6th sense that I did not belong.
-good job dude!

Sure Ben's rules are plentiful and subject to interpretation -- and believe me when I say the die hard roll players play the line - frequently pushing the refs around a bit on the interpretation. Ben usually get the last call. Thats is what he is there for as the GAMESMASTER.

I say this to the die hard roll players : if it looks like you are dealing with a ref not completely up to speed on the finer points - BACK OFF what you are trying to do and check with Ben in person next time you are near the god box.

Like Ben says : you can lie .. you just can't cheat. This is one of the things that makes it a Scenario Game and not just a pricey out of town rec day.

Nuf said by me.

HERE HERE!!!!

Quite an excellent system in which the Refs interpret and relay questionable situations to Ben, who then makes the final calll

That young referee was doing a killer job and was quite enthusiastic to check chrono on the field and run missions

*The new ref's usually are more energetic and enthusiastic to do their jobs...let them help you out but communicate clearly

The ref's at night were terrifice....infact 2 were complaining to Ben T. about me running missions with out a gun, that they were going to get shot since most of our missions were behind enemy lines.....

Skeeter, Brain, Brian, y'alls PBC ref are especially cool and deal with scenario paintball with style and flair....heck, most of your guys can keep up wiht me!!!
-that is saying something...they are simply, some of the best...especially the new guys

In regards to Omniforce/cool....without doubt they are the best team and guys that I ever have the pleasure of playing....all of the knowledgable scenario teams are...I of course refer to those who know the rules and think before they speak (I am not refering to anyone who doesn't)

This past weekend simply represented the best of the best and when the best come together and wage war, there will be MUCH DELIBERATION

-we should all be proud!

I do have to say that this game was the most even I have EVER seen. Both sides had everything working and when they butted heads it usually came down to numbers. I have never seen the village change hands so many times. I was very impressed with the spotsmanship and I only had 1 case of having to raise my voice to calm a player down for cursing and 1 case of a few yellow players trying to insert at the big net (the exit of the field). Other than that I was very proud to be a paintball player this weekend. Something I have not always been in the past. Excellent job to EVERYONE, players, vendors, refs, staff, etc..
Thank you for Paintball Charleston!!

THE HONOR WAS ALL MINE, STEERS.

And to all the other players at PBC this past weekend, it was an honor to play side-by-side or against, you. When that many people get together and play a game as intensely as this one was played, it is amazing that people are not hurt.

All the players and referees are to be commended for their sportsmanship, and intense level of play.

Again, it was my honor to have been there with all of you.
