Leyte After Action

let me start :

Final score : 5200 JAPS to 5275 US -- and it was decided at the end by a special service award .. classic ending to a classic game. close from start to finnish.

Im not sure where the numbers topped out - but it had to be pushing 475

On the US we had: (please pardon the gaps -- Im typing with a tired memory)
Little Girls
Section8/SCroadkill
Carolina Riot
Brute Force
+ others

On the Japs were
Shadow Group
Misfits (MBeach)
Sentinel
Punishment
Stagering Mayhem
Port City Paintball
Country and a few from Saluda River Paintball
Swamp Donkeys
Renegades

Killer game all. excellent competition - excellent game - excellent reffing..

Omnicool : nice job on the reffing bro.

Brain / Skeeter / Rasta / Clay & George & staffers : the field was killer. excellent dirt.

Steve: killer hunts my brother. Im pretty sure I owe you 2.

Ben / Bonnie : excellent game yall. cant wait till the next one.

Nix, Vest & co: kicking running with you girls. cant wait till next one. and congrats on putting up that Win. Maybe the Girl Curse is lifted. lol

Brute Force: excellent work yall. Any time, any where : just holler.

Riot : sorry I didnt get more time on field w/ yall -- maybe next time.

Mayhem : Ive been telling my boys they play this a bit more serious in NC -- and you fellahs certainly brought some "A grade" play to SC. Nice to have some really woodsy guys to spar with. Look forward to the next one. with or against - Im happy either way.

Sportsmanship : near perfect

Weather : perfect

Paint : even the probounce was breaking on target -- who would have thunk it? -- excellent.

Nuf said by me -- cant wait to see the pics..

Without doubt,

this was the most competitive game that I have ever attended. Many familiar names and faces showed on Friday as the fellowship kicked off with warm fires and bull whips. Saturday morning came quick with players visiting the chrono station and buying their paint; after the safety briefing and a few words from Ben Torricelli, the game kicked off at noon.

The teams all knew each other and what would need to be done in order to counter their opponents. Saturday afternoon, Saturday night, and Sunday morning depicted the intense struggle to continue mission completions, prop interceptions, and superiority over the field; past MPP Games had led up to this one.

My personal thanks goes out to PBC –Brain, Skeeter, Referees and those manning the proshop for making this event possible and flowing smoothly.

Omnis force was very kind and generous to offer their services instead of playing and did a fantastic job with very few problems on the field.
-Thanks guys!!!

The Little Girls –It was an honor and a pleasure to have finally played along side you guys –Nix, you have guts man; I don’t think that there is anyone else who could do what you and your team accomplished over this weekend. The Little Girls were always on spot and on mission whenever I needed help and wouldn’t hesitate to charge the enemy if they were closing in.

Special thanks to our American General for doing an excellent job with command and keeping us on mission through out the event....Thanks man, it was a pleasure to have served under your command.
-Can’t wait to play with you guys again, GREAT GAME!

Roadkill –You guys always remain consistent in superb communication, teamwork, and delegation on the field. Your help with the armor was very much needed and never ceased to make a dramatic difference on the field wherever you were.
-Thank you!
Team Punishment –Steve Chase, as soon as I learned that Punishment would be playing for the Japanese, I knew we were going to have problems. I don’t think that there was a single moment where I wasn’t fighting against you and your minions for a mission and you were always where I didn’t want you in a fight….as always, you and your team are a force to be reckoned with, one of THE BEST teams and players in my book!

Team Sentinels –I never discovered that you were fighting on the Japanese until I saw you on the field. You guys caused a heck of a lot of damage in American missions teams and never allowed us to invade your base, day or night. Great to have seen you guys in this event!

Last but not least, Ben and Bonnie always write terrific scenarios that teach us teamwork a little bit of history. This event in particular was exceptional!
Ben and Bonnie, thank you guys so much for taking the time to do this; the event was very challenging and was fought hard until the closing seconds of the game.
TRULY, the wind could have shifted the victory in any direction, and everyone that attended Leyte this past weekend was indeed a winner. Everyone fought hard and pulled their own weight and more with relentless fighting.
-Thank you, and we’ll see you at the next one!

agreed. the weather couldn't have been better. the sportsmanship was great aside from a few of the normal hiccups, and the reffing was overall outstanding. thank you to everybody who helped make this event possible, from start to finish.
i know the pictures are going to be incredible, because this game was such an evenly matched game of Bare-Knuckles... it was absolutely awesome, exactly the tempo and setting i like. lots of people brawling all out all day. a special thank you to the american medics who saved my sorry ass more times than i can count.. LOL- they stopped asking for my ID number.. they had it memorized.

STEERS- i've never seen one guy have such an incredible ability to manipulate the enemy, and complete missions that seem nearly impossible. you are a machine, and the reason i pulled all those stupid stunts, was because i knew if you were there, then it was important... you motivate me dude. you have my respect and ANY time you wanna roll with me, just say so.
Sect8/Roadkill- as usual, you guys were on point making sure that the objectives were being completed, with seemingly effortless precision. thank you for covering our asses.
riot- you guys may not have been able to get the entire team down here, but all Bullcrap aside, i didn't notice... you guys were ALWAYS right with me, and you were always helping me populate the deadbox. thank you.\
brute force- i didn't know you guys before, but i do now- thank you for providing me with plenty of covering fire and oppurtunities to complete my objectives.
the grunts you guys were few in numbers, but you stayed right with us for the full 24 hours... your commitment did not go unnoticed.
to everybody- thanks for a great game and i look forward to seeing you possibly in late december.

-I once smashed an opponent's face with a hammer, then used his skull for my cocoa puffs.. but then i was like, what the hell am i doing?!? this shit is nasty, so i dumped it out and had fruity pebbles instead.

Any word on the pictures from junkie? He was in the middle of some intense action the whole scenario; I have a feeling there are going to be some good pictures.

rich is a great photographer and will no doubt have the pics up as soon as he possibly can. it usually takes about 2-3 days max, but its always worth the wait.

Smile From the four Japs with hats...

We had a blast! I loved how the front line was always moving, and with the design of the field, you could find a fire-fight whenever you wanted We had a blast!

Oh, and for the few that doubted our conical rice hats, check this out: Conical straw hat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Quite acceptable for a ww2 southeastern appearance

Nice play US, but I think its safe to say we defended our islands pretty damn well

aint that the truth! High ground for the win!

First post on this forum in commemoration of my first scenario! I was the shortest of the "four Japs with hats," if that means anything to anyone. A regular local player at PBC.

I just moved here from Maine, and I gotta say I'm enjoying this whole 'scenario' bit you folks have going down here. This has been by far the best paintball experience I've had in a long time.

Gratz to the US team for a well-earned victory and to my fellow Japs for helping to make it so!

Cheers! Can't wait for pics, I know there are a few of me with my Revenge V2 in there! Maybe some Japs-in-the-tower?
