Luzon: The Peninsula Of Death!

Looks like everything is coming together for the third installment of the Brother In Arms, Series IV, War in the Pacific! Bear Claw has been newly renovated to make registration even easier, the field is in primo condition with a lot of new structures built specially for Luzon, and I've written into the game some of the most challenging objectives you guys can ever imagine. I believe this beach invasion may be the most exciting ever held at Bear Claw! Bob and I are working hard to give you some real surprises...

Our two Generals have been picked and both are capable of doing a great job. I will be releasing their names shortly when I receive confirmation from one that his minor surgery has been successful.

It looks like the same tanks (or most!) that were at Tarawa will be on hand for the Luzon game at Bear Claw, so look for a major tank battle on those 35 cleared acres! We invite all tankers to come in and challenge our regular tank crews for field supremacy.

Just a reminder of some of the MPP/Bear Claw discounts which are available to all PRE-REGISTERED players:
1 - all active service personnel receive 1 free case of paint with military ID
2 - all teams with 10 or more players recieve 1 free case of paint per ten in group packet registration
3 - all players under 13 years old receive a case of paint with a registered parent (1 per parent/child)

We look forward to seeing all of you at Bear Claw, and don't forget our free player party Friday night for all PRE-REGISTERED players! Please sign up early so we may order an appropriate number of patches and Miss Susie can provide another sumptuous meal for Friday evening's party (both of which go to pre-registered players)!

More details on the game to follow,
Ben

If you're a tanker and never played the "Big Field" at Bearclaw you've been missing the real deal. Formations on a rolling grassy plain so big you can see each other well out of range. What kind of range? Some kills at Kursk were over 150 yards.

Tired of following the tank ref on the road and 30 ft tank battles? Flustrated by paint splatter and demo guys?

No roads, no paint. A line of enemy tanks in the distance and to your right and left your armor is rolling in formation as you air up the cannons. The first shells buzz past as you try to judge when to take the first shot ....and then it gets exciting.

I'm hauling 3 tanks to this one so no whining about distance and gas prices. Bring it.

Be there or be square.

Interglacials are short and then we enter the nasty brutishness of the glacial periods.

My son and I are already registered, having sent in our forms, etc.

Our first visit to Bear Claw was last fall, and we found it to be absolutely fantastic. Our only hope is that the air refill station does its job without long waits.

Otherwise, the field, game planning, paint, refs, emphasis on safety, play and finally, fun, were A+.

Incidentally, this game is on the schedule of our Pukin' Dogs team, and I would expect it'll be a good draw among team members.

Additonally, I just noticed in your message, Ben, that young people under 13 registered with a parent get some paint as an incentive. I was totally unaware of that, but since my son fits that criteria, it adds yet another positive feature for going to Bear Claw.

Best...and we'll see you there.
