Next years thoughts?

From MPP:

I'M ALWAYS LOOKING TO GET AS MUCH FEEDBACK AS POSSIBLE FROM THE PLAYERS SO I CAN GIVE THEM THE BEST GAMES THAT I CAN PUT TOGETHER AND THE TYPE OF GAMES THEY LIKE TO PLAY. OUR "BAND OF BROTHERS" SERIES HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL, BUT I'VE GOT MANY IDEAS I'D LIKE TO SHARE WITH THE PLAYERS.

I'VE BEEN DYING TO DO AN "AGE OF EMPIRES" GAME AND ALSO ONE BASED ON THE BOARD GAME "RISK." WE'VE GOT SO MANY PROPS DEALING WITH SCI-FI THAT A "WAR OF THE WORLDS" GAME IS A NATURAL RIGHT NOW. I'M REALLY LUCKY TO BE INVOLVED WITH SOME OF THE GREATEST FIELDS IN ALL THE SOUTH, SO ANY OF THESE GAMES FROM WW2 TO SCI-FI WILL WORK.

WHAT I'D LIKE TO KNOW IS WHAT THE PLAYERS, BY FIELD OF YOUR CHOICE, WOULD LIKE ME TO BRING TO THEIR BACKYARD. IN OTHER WORDS, IF YOU FREQUENT PB CHARLESTON, LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE; SAME GOES WITH BEAR CLAW PB, WILDFIRE, COMMAND DECISION IN HICKORY, NC, AND REACTIVE PB IN SC.

WE ARE SETTING UP OUR 2007 CALENDAR NOW, SO THE FEEDBACK YOU GIVE US WILL BE A MAJOR FACTOR. TWO OF THE VENUES WHICH I NAMED ARE GOING TO BE BRAND NEW TO US, AND WE ARE REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO BEING AT THESE FIELDS AND MEETING THE PLAYERS THAT FREQUENT THEM. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO BUMP INTO AN OLD FRIEND, RUSS WITH OMNI-FORCE, AND THIS SPURRED US INTO REACHING OUT TO OTHER AREAS.

I PROMISE I'LL TRY TO INCORPORATE THE FEEDBACK YOU GIVE ME INTO THE SCHEDULE. IT WILL HELP IF EVERYTHING GETS FUNNELED THROUGH PBJ'S FORUMS SO WE CAN HAVE A CENTRAL PLACE TO CHECK AND SHARE YOUR IDEAS. FEEL FREE TO POST WITH FELLOW SCENARIO PLAYERS ON OTHER SITES, BUT LET'S TRY TO WORK TOGETHER TO CONSOLIDATE ALL THE FEEDBACK INTO THIS TOPIC HERE.

LET US HEAR FROM ALL YOU SCENARIO ENTHUSIASTS OUT HERE - WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR RESPONSE!

The Risk idea is awesome!!!! I think that even a scenerio based on wars from back in the 1700's would be so cool. The French and Indian war, or a war based on Napoleon would be kick ass too. Those are just some suggestions.

How about a series based on the Roman's or Babylonian's conquering and building their empires? Another idea I have is one based on the island hopping campaign of WWII. It could start out with the Japanese invasions of the islands and end with the Allies attempting to take them back.

I would request 2 things:

one, to do more scenarios following the footsteps of Marines during WWII.
two, to bring a scenario to Triggertyme Paintball -I really enjoyed Bastogne!!!

-Ben, Your scenarios are GREAT. Every time I come, I have a blast.

i'm pretty sure ben reads this, but an e-mail to MPP will be a direct way to our favorite promoter.

List of NEEDED Things for a Scenario Game
1) Mask 2) Gun 3) Money 4) Goldbond
5) Man Wipes (wet/baby wipes, but with a manly sounding name... we need em to!)
6) Pepto-Bismol

Mine are close to that.I do agree a scenario following the Marines during WWII would be great but one following the 83 Airborne would be great also. What would really be great is one of those scenarios being at T.T.!No w that would be sweet.Airborne(Airborne vets would understand what that ment.)!!

Did you mean the 82nd Airborne Division? I haven't heard of the 83rd, but if they did anything of significance I would love to learn about it.

Ben has said he would like to do a game at Trigger Tyme. Everyone needs to tell Del & Robbie they want a game there.

7 wonders of the world

Just a thought. Holding and Sieging the 7 wonders of the ancient world. Must have 7 places though, or maybe props could do for some. Might look dumb if the Gardens of Babylon are a group of dorritos. Heh, I just think a break from war-based games would be cool. I mean a break from WWII, civil, other stuff.
