Well, it has been brought to our attention that many players have not registered due to fear of heat and the wildfires.

As for the heat, the forecast is mid 80s and cloudy during the day, and mid 60s at night, with only a 10% chance of rain, and 50% humidity. All-in-all a darned fine day for paintball in Florida in late May.

And as for the wildfires, as I have said the fire department has assured me that everything is fine in the area, and even their cleanup of the site will go as scheduled.

It appears that others have come to this realization, which would explain the multitude of messages on our voicemail when we got up (after being up until after 3am processing, stuffing envelopes, etc).

With this in mind we are going to go ahead and take walkons rather than having folks miss this great game.

Walkon fee will be $70.

You will be at the mercy of our placement. We will TRY to meet side requests, and those with teammates already in the game will take precedence.

If you want to reserve a spot you will need to call Cookie at 903.573.1994 and give her your name before registration opens at 5pm Eastern Time on Friday. This will hold your spot until noon Saturday. Once we fill the remaining spots we will take no more reservations. Once we hit 800 we’re done. As promised back in January, we ARE capping it at 800 players.

If you have a reservation it will be good until noon on Saturday. If there are any spots left, unclaimed or otherwise, anyone is welcomed to them. But understand that, if you just show up and want to play, there is a good chance you will not get to.

So if you want to walk on, take the time to call Cookie and give her your name. Please don’t make us send you home disappointed. I don’t like to do that, and I don’t want to do that...but I will.
