[quote=TIPBL;221018]The Americans won, but it was a VERY close game all the way through.

Good job Havoc...

Thanks Havok, Cant wait to roll with you again, you were a blast. And yes we completed every mission given to us. I know a few times we went from 15 people strong down to 2, most of the time me and my brother. But we stayed to the end and did our thing. We hope to see more of Southern Discomfort in the carolinas, and hopefully we can make it to bareclaw this year or next. Hope all of your team recovers well.

All you other americans it was a blast playing with you. I have a lot of respect for all of you, teams and walkons. Especially team disciple and those locals that ran with us a lot of the day, heck one of your girlfriends even fetched us some water.

But I had great time this game, this was my first time at CDP and its surely not my last. Even tho I injured my knee within the first 4 hours I still hobbled through the entire game and only left the field 3 times. I couldnt get enough or it, well except walking up that back powerline hill, thats killer.

Oh an awsome game indeed!!! I only made it for the night game and Sunday game, and boy they were killer!! It was great running with PCM, and Capital Offense, B-squad, Lethal Paintball, and Omni-force. The germans put up a great fight! Can't wait to come back to CD!!!!!

by the numbers..

hey all --

Section8 was sided german, under werewolf of rogue cell, sided w/ shadow group, epic unit, RATS, brute force, lost boys, recon-1 (plz pardon any ommissions)

we were against : southern discomfort, capitol offense, port city militia, b-squad, omniforce, hard heads, lincoln assasins, lethal paintball, disciples, odx, (and I thought bravo-2-zero was there, but dont recall seeing them)

200 players total. we operated out of Alpha - and had two separate mobile command posts. The allied forces operated out of REX

the tally follows (from what I heard and recorded):

sat 2pm: german 900 -- allied 1200
sat 6p : germans down by 500 - port city militial reported being flipped 3 times
sun 9a : germans up by 200, but mixed reports on allied haven't turned in props
sun 1p : germans 4400 -- allied 5100

german awards : mvp : chip w/ shadow group, mvt: rats, sportsmanship : section8, xo: otto, thumper

allied awards : mvt: capital offense

-------------------------

my opinion of the game: killer fight, excellent paintball, substantial competition. Capitol Offense : you guys rock - but I expected no less.
Wolf: nice work on the C&C sir. 4400 is a respectable number by any standard and I really think this game could have gone either way as the closing battle kicked off.

Man for man, I think the teams listed represent the finest in scenario ball. 200 may not be many by some standards, but every engagement was hard fought, and well executed. In my opinion CD plays very, very well w/ 200.

Ben, Bonnie: excellent as always. See yall at Adventure Beach, for sure.

Ferg: field rocks, sir.

Paint : I didnt hear any complaints and quite a few complements.

Air: excellent.

Chrony Cops : eek gads man.

Section8: guys, if the competition keep up like this, we are gonna need to tighten up some. pratice, practice, practice.

I have to say it was great meeting some new faces that I have seen here on the PBjunkie forums for the first time. Cannibal it was a pleasure meeting you sir. Havok, dude, that was one hell of a job you did rallying the Americans for a win.
I was playing on the German side of things so I know first hand how well that dern American CP was defended! At times it was like attacking a brick wall with dish rags!
The only complaint I had about the entire weekend was the reffing for the game. It seems to me that a lot of the guys out there were speedballers and were never looking in the right direction without a lot of badgering. There was a time when we started watching the refs because we knew that they would eventually point out the enemy players for us!
I digress, despite my perception of bad reffing it was still a very fun game. I only ran into one person out of 200 that blatantly exhibited bad sportsmanship. that was during the final battle and he was behind a white cube in front of the American base. The player in question actually flipped me off. There is no call for that.
Other than that small incident, great sportsmanship from everyone else involved! I have to say scenario paintball just brings out the best paintball has to offer!
