Wow, i concur, the Mongols and Spartans will need very good tactical leaders to cover all of that real estate, especially the Spartans with the territory setup as it is, scouts will be in desperate need. Intelligence on advancing armies toward Sparta will be key, and it will need to be early.

Patton and Napoleon's gang will be able to make a decent "fire line" and will have the best ability to defend their territory. That is if they have the numbers to do so.

Somehow, i agree the numbers will change this point of view.

I was at Luzon and remember how hard it was with just two generals. Four of them and you have a masacre going on at one point in time!

I played Risk there several years ago and the insurance guy generaling won because he understood the how to play risk. Alliances will be key as will be when to break them. Mass confusion ruled the day for the ground guys until clear communication lines prevailed. This is spy heaven....hey Steers.....

My thoughts and worries are the mission distances in relation to the bases.

Ben T. wants blood.....well, he's gonna get blood!

Lightbulb Khans base....

Look at the map- Khans base is not surrounded it simply sits on the eastern border of the field! Guess which base won at the original Risk It All game ????
Larry Cassio generaled that base with Tom Kaye at the Roman Fort Reeana Dobbins (Indian Creek Design) at the World War II base and George Spurlock from Dragun at grinch gulley ...it was truly a memorable game. Bob was Coffeannuncream Undersecretary General to the UN and we had treaties to sign with ribbons and wax seals. Anyway the way everyone is working on this one we are expecting between 400 and 1000 to come down that road. How's that for not knowing?
It should be a game and a half... Play a little Risk between now and then...it will help your perspective!
