Starship Troopers move to ChickenHawk

Starship Troopers scheduled for November 25th, 26th & 27th, 2005 -- at Ft. Gordon has been moved to Chickenhawk Paintball in Carnesville Ga.

Reason why from Billy:

"I met with Rick of Rush paintball this morning, the field owner who was assisting in setting up this event, to finalize the details of this event. Everything was going good until we arrived at the part of who would be bringing in the paint. As most of you know, I have a sponsorship deal with Jimmy Durante and Robbie Roe of PRO-CAPS Southeast, they are LCP Scenario Games paint people. They have allowed me to be able to sell you, the player, a quality paint at a decent price. Anyways, here's the problem, Rick doesn't like Robbie and told me that he would not allow Robbie to bring in the paint. So I had to make a decision. I am loyal to my sponsor's just as I am loyal to my players, I cancelled the game and moved the format to Carnesville Ga, (Chicken Hawk). I will not betray the people who look out for us.

This will still be an awesome game as ChickenHawk has an awesome field. Larry Moates with the CFOA will be the general of one side and Dan (Aiki) Reynolds (24hourgames) will be the opposing general. Lots of woods, chicken houses and plenty of airball bunkers will be in effect.

I apologize for any inconvience this may have caused and look forward to seeing you at the games."

their plaec in Augusta is absolutely AWESOME for speedball. With a DYE PSP Xball field, Carwash Field, and 2 hyperball and airball fields, what more can you ask for? But yeah, the owner is kind of a jack ass

Well, I wouldn't say Rick, specifically, is, but - how do I put this - some people, and by this I mean one person, high on the staff are, though "jackass" might represent the wrong gender to some. Not that I personally have been wronged by the staff, but I know a couple who were and was there to see it. Other than that, I've enjoyed playing there. Haven't played there in a few months so I don't know if things have recently gone south.

However, this event was set to take place at Ft. Gordon, not at the Wrightsboro Road fields, right? Haven't been to the Fort fields, but I hear they are cool. Even has a downed helicopter on the field (wouldn't that be slick for Super 64?!). I'd be upset about the move since that means it moves from 15 minuted from me to about 2 1/2 - 3 hours away, but I'll be out of town that weekend. Blef blef. I'll just have to wait for the Free Finale I suppose.....

Try It for Yourself!

I say try it for yourself and then you can feel confident in your decision to play there again or not.
I encourage everyone to come on out and support the "Marines" (woodsballers/scenario players) in defeating the Bugs (speedballers).
It measures up to be a great game at an interesting field and the players party looks pretty good too with a live band, pig roast, chicken wings, and more!
I will be generaling the scenario/woodsballers (Marines) and sure could use the support! Besides, ALL of you know that Billy sure knows how to Party and throw a great game.

Hope to see you all there, gotta go prepare now.....
