well we made fun of recball so might as well get scenario criticizing out of the way.

i dont like the cheating and dead man talking rule. another is wen the eliminated players go 2 re-ensert and stop 100 yrds. away and say "ahhh close enough"

do not get the wrong idea about me though. i LOOOOOVVVE scenarios.

This could go forever:
1. Fields & field owners that don’t know/care about safety
2. Refs that never do paint checks, or even open their eyes to watch the players in their zone.
3. Lack of camping or staging area.
4. Lack of refs in proportion to the number of players
5. Players refusing to call themselves out, not to mention the usual wiping
6. Language… Some people don’t realize that this is still a family sport
7. Folks who set up their staging area/camp site at 4 am and try to time their pathetically out of tune cocker
8. Fire ants in the staging area
9. Jackie!!!!!!!
10. A bad general, who does not share information with the troops (or will even mingle with the troops)
11. Speedball mentality (not the place for it, even if you can afford the paint)
12. Teams or groups who intentionally exceed the velocity limits, especially for night time play (ehm… Juicy pastry). 5 or 10 fps can be an accident. 100 fps over the limit is not!
13. Field paint only, when it sucks… A field should give the players at least two options (even field paint only fields) for paint. Keep the paint prices reasonable, & don’t gouge the players.
14. Spy craft & fake assignations in the staging area. Keep the little plastic (fake) spiders at home.
15. Lack of good fill stations or 4.5k capability.
16. Mandatory air card purchases (not a free scenario at that point, is it?)
17. Way uneven teams. When accidental, that is cool. I would rather be on the “underdog” side when it happens, but running the opposing team off the field (we had done it) in the first 45 minutes of a game is very boring. It’s no fun to just walk around the woods with nobody to shoot at.
18. Drunk red necks in a golf cart, claiming to be a tank & chasing players all day long.
19. Pot!!! Seems to be at most scenarios. Considering the safety issues (see #1), this is last place someone needs to be compromised.
20. Running missions & no ref to sign off on the mission card.
21. Lack of knowledge of the game... Even basics such as "all hits count at night".

Example: snuck up to a guy with my night vision Phantom a while back. Stood behind him (he was prone, facing away) & asked for the surrender. He hesitated, then made a move, I shot him in the back from 2 feet away, he continues to roll over & then shoots me point blank about 6-7 times. I start yelling at him & he claims that it bounced!!! Idiot

hah it bounced. that's funny Skeeter.

1.) Air stations. The absolute worst. Nothing is worse than haveing to wait 30 minutes to fill your tank.
2.) Waiting until the last minute to open air and paint lines.
3.) having little kids follow you during night play. OMG!!!!!

Example, at Super 64 me and Superman left to no mans land to run a mission and had about 3-5 little loud mouth kids follow us. 1 broke off and we ended up shooting him becuase he shot 2 of our guys and got pissed at us. then while laying on the woods line the other 2 kids continue to yap away. we start getting shot at from the other side so we shoot back and one kids yells no its my dad. and we ask how can you tell and he says i know his gun trust me. so he sits up and yells dad over here while waving. so then they all open up on us and he says I don't think its my dad. Dumb little kids.

people who blast speedball for all its cheating ect... but know perfectly well scenario teams that cheat just cause they can too.

skeeter was refering to the "speedball mentality" like spraying down a case of paint every couple of minutes,not cheating

o, sorry, i didnt even look at the previous posts , no bashing going on, just a lack of reading enthusiam . Not pointing anybody out, i just know some guys at our school that bash speedball but admit to cheating in recball/scenario.

sides, this is a what i dont like about scenarios thread, and that is my biggest pet peeve.

lets see...wat do i hate most..........i hate the 10 and 11 year old kids with the thousand dollar guns and have no idea how to use em, they just stick back and let the bigger people go first........i know a 10 year old named landon that shoots a proto that him, his brother, and his dad got (so SHINY!), and he can take on all of em

1. Chrono lines that are a mile long because they field did not have refs out to start the chronos on time.
2. Refs standing in groups talking when theres a fire fight or mission that need refs in the action.
3. Waiting for the next one.
