We Were Men And Soldiers

July 1 -2 2006 at GTF Paintball in Yulee, Fl.

Base on the hero’s that fought for their country, loved ones and freedom.

The year is 1965 and America is at war with North Vietnam. Commanding the air cavalry is Lt. Col. Hal Moore, a born leader totally committed to his troops.

His target is the la Drang Valley, called “ The Valley of Death. “ As the game begins Hal is preparing for the battle of his life against the North Vietnam regulars. Hal makes a promise to his Family and men that he will leave no one behind Dead Or Alive.

At the start of the battle Hal’s air cavalry has just land in the valley with the lose of one huey. Hal makes the site of the downed huey his command post. The Battle insues from there………………………………

Pre registration is 35 dollars until 28 may after that it is 45. Heat paint will be sold presale at 45/case day of game 55/case. Camping will be available.

Gates will open noon on Friday before game.This event is sponsored By GTF PAINTBALL. Located at 960 Goodbread Rd. Yulee, Fl. 32097 Phone # 904-548-7256 Various vendors will be Knights Crossing, Sonix LLC, Atomic
Ordnance, M.I. Paintball, Splatman Paintball, Army Navy Outdoors of jacksonville.

Game rules

Well people its getting close to time for the big game. So I thought I would give you guys alittle info to get everyone ready.

Game-Specific Rules and Instructions for “We Were Men and Soldiers”

Every person on GTF Property must have access to ASTM approved goggle systems.

If you walk along the driveway during game time - Beginning at Noon on Saturday - You must be wearing goggles. Otherwise, you must stay in the camping area. If you are seen on the road during game time and do not have goggles on your head, you will be asked to leave.

As well, car windows Must be rolled up while on the driveway during game time. Please understand that if you drive up and down the driveway during game time your car may be hit by paintballs.

1. Players are not allowed to remove their mask on the playing field. A mask can be removed in the command bunkers and safe rooms. Only your generals can give you permission to enter the command bunkers. Please understand that if you enter the safe rooms on the field that you are no longer a live player and you have to return to your base and tag back in.

2. Every person on this property must sign an insurance waiver form. That’s every Mom, Dad, Wife, Girlfriend, vendor, sponsor-everyone. Anyone who does not sign and present an insurance waiver at registration will be considered trespassing on GTF property and will be asked to leave.

3. Non-player access will be limited ( Media, Family Members , Spectators ). Please see Robert or James for access.

4. No unsupervised children

5. Aboveground and covered grills will be allowed. Camp fires will be allowed in designated areas. Please see staff members.

6. Game on is from Saturday from noon until Sunday at noon.


THE RULES

“The General Scenario Rules of Play” will be enforced for this event. The GSRP can be found at www.scenriopaintball.com/rules/grspv302.htm. Game-specific addendums to these rules will be announced at the mandatory players briefing Saturday morning.

Players Briefing : Every person entering the playing field must attend the players briefing Saturday Morning.

Event Paint Only : Shooting or bring anything other than event paint onto the property will result in immediate ejection from the game and GTF. Check your hopper and pods and leave all nonevent paint at home. This will be strictly enforced. Zero-Tolerance.

No Personal Airfill Stations On The Premises: Zero-Tolerance

Markers : Day time : No full auto for the duration of the event. All others will be allowed.
Night Time : Semi-auto Only.
The Referees will not tolerate blind-firing or over shooting - in any conceivable fashion.

Littering : The clean-up requirements are simple Please clean-up you trash. Trash bags will be available at registration. Just ask for one and thank you for your help.

Smoke Grenades :Smoke Grenades will be allowed for day time play only. They must be non-pyrotechnic type. All others will not be permitted.

Cheating : If you are caught Wiping paint Or playing with a visible hit you will be called out and have to leave the field. If caught again, your number will be removed from the prize drawings. We are all here to play and have fun please do not cheat its just a game.

Hot Guns / Chrono speeds : 1-19 FPS over the limit you will be asked to leave the field and re chrono. 20+ over the limit you will be asked to leave the field and rechrono and bewared that if it happens again your number will be removed from the prize drawings. This is for everyones safety thank you.
Make sure if you use CO2 that you initially chrono way under , as the fps will increase as the bottle gets hot during the course of the day. You are responsible for keeping your maker under the speed limit.
Tools found on the field will be confiscated by the referees and turned in at registration.

Insertion Times : Every 15 minutes ,the entire game. Their will be a 5 minutes for insertion .You must use your sides insertion point only.

All players will be required to walk to their side’s command bunker and tag it to be come a live player.

No orange or yellow pants, shirts or goggles : restricted to field refs / staff use only.

Armband tape : All players must wear team armband tape above the elbow. It must be clearly visible. All specialty OS armband tapes ( Medics , Demo , Engineers ) must be worn in addition to the team tape , and be clearly visible above the elbow.

Props. : These are not to be removed or relocated unless instructed to do so ( via mission card ). Therefore , until a player presents any referee with a team- mission card to retrieve anything on the field , all items are to remain in place.

Engineers : The only characters that can rebuild structures by removing the orange tape placed their by the refs. The refs must be present for this to be done and it will take the engineers 5 minutes to do this.



Demolitions : Will use laws and C4 charges to destroy wall , bunkers , And all fort walls .They can not destroy the command bunkers. This can only be done by placing an arm or foot in and saying the base is blow. Demo personal are limited to5 law rockets at time of insertions . Any one that carry these items must have the os card and armband tape.
Laws fired at bunkers will kill anyone within 10 feet of impact.
C4 Charges will kill anyone within 15 feet of charge.

Medics : “ Wounded” players have one minute to holler for a medic .Wounded players have to stay put and the medic comes to them. Wounded players can not fire until the medic has healed them , but can still receive in-coming fire. Only paintball breaks can be healed.
Medics cannot heal themselves.
Medics cannot heal head wounds.
Medics cannot heal paint grenade splatters or players blow up by laws and C4.
Medic must have players card and OS tape.

All referees will have the power to remove any player with unsportsmanlike conduct , Blatant cheating , language , attitudes , arguing with refs ,and any physical contact ( except for barrel tags)Multiple infractions may result in being escorted from GTF premises.

OK, who all is going? I will be hte XO for Craig of DP for the Americans. This is there first game and we need to support them. Who will take this adventure?
