Western Worrs 2007 @ Emr
WESTERN WORRS will be produced by “DEUCE” Hanse at EMR PAINTBALL PARK on the weekend of June 23rd/24th. This event is the second in their BIG 4 series and offers as much excitement as EMR’s CASTLE CONQUEST in a totally different format. The event is centered around Fort WORR, JT SPORTS huge Western Style Fort, and offers another format of attack and defend with some extra twists thrown in. This Fort and Event is Bud Orr’s and Blue’s pet project as both are Western Movie fans making this a natural fit.
The game pitches the Mighty Native Warriors against the Soldiers and Settlers in 3 to 1 odds with the Soldiers and Settlers trying to defend Fort WORR, the Soldiers Outpost, a Miner’s Camp, and their Trapper’s Camp. The Warriors are trying to take over all of the outlying camps and drive the Soldiers and Settlers out of the fort. This game is point based and each outpost and camp is worth points for every 10 minutes that the S&S hold it and a lump sum of points if the Warriors take it over. When the S&S lose any camp or outpost, they will reenter the field as Calvary Reinforcements for the Fort. Fort Worr is approximately 130 feet long on all four sides with two story walls and numerous stores and walls within. Three of the corner quadrants will have flag stations worth points, every ten minutes, to whoever controls the flag station. In the center of the parade ground is a two-story 24’ square guard shack that overlooks all four quadrants. The Outpost is set in a clearing with raised corners and a two-story center. Tucked away in the deep woods is the Trapper’s Camp with lean-tos and brush as cover. Down a slope away from the Fort is the Miner’s Camp with numerous shacks surrounding their precious mine. The game runs all day Saturday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and will be followed by a Pig Roast presented by Team GOBS and then a Western Style Player’s Party produced by Team VOODOO. Sunday will bring scheduled open play on various fields as well as a pump only series of games. Cost for the weekend long event is $50 if prepaid by 6/8/07 and $60 at the event.
