Alright, pretend that we are sitting around a campfire after a long day on the scenario field. What is the greatest mission that stands out in your mind that you and/or your team ran? Was it at night or during the day? Were you successful or did you have fun even though you get reach the goal?

This is from Invasion of Japan at Adventure Beach Paintball and it has been as of yet PCM's greatest mission to date. We did not accomplish this mission however it by far was the most complicated mission we have ever encountered.
Now to the good stuff. I have to say running missions all day was a blast and is what PCM is focused on intensely. However, there is nothing like running a mission where a nuclear bomb is in play so iv'e recently learned. So after lunch we head off to what we believe as a normal mission... NOT, we arrive at our destination and learn we require an engineer, a demo, and our general or XO. A nuclear weapon has been discovered inside a truck. So as we setup a perimeter as Dave double times it to our location. As Dave arrives we get word we have to find some kind of prop... Turns out its the stretcher for the nuke.. (Keep in mind our current position is in the very back of the field. I have no idea what they had to do in the truck to disarm the bomb however Kurb was our engineer so I'm sure he will fill you all in.) So after 10 minutes or more of waiting around we hear that the Americans have hit Rogue Cell our recon patrol at the major intersection in the back of the field on the road and the enemy is advancing 20 strong onto our position. Just then our guys come out of the truck and inform us that the device has been disabled and is ready for transport. (Fun part) Only the acting engineer and demo men can transport the device on the stretcher... So Kurb and Chicken Hawk (Who's a young gunner) drop their guns and carry this 50 LB Stretcher with a Nuke on it. (Might have been more I didn't carry it. LoL it was very heavy.) ![]() We make our exit tape line and avoid the incoming enemy for now... We head through many tight corridors and I wish I could properly describe what I saw lol. Lets say we had to move very slow and stop quite a few times. So we come all the way down the back trails and we are coming up on the Hill and sure enough we walk right into the enemy on the trail. We engage and it doesn't take long for the patrol we avoided at first to catch up to us. It took about 2 minutes once we got boxed in for it to be all over. The enemy ended up capturing the Nuke and taking it to their objective and they nuked one of our cities!!! I also made a mission video from THE SIEGE OF LENINGRAD at Adventure Beach as well. The video is the starting mission for the game, please excuse the blur of the camera it was dirty and this was the first time deploying a head cam on the field of battle so its a little shaky as well. www.portcitymilitia.150m.com/adventure.wmv Chris Nienow

Perhaps TWolf can elaborate on this mission as he was explaining it to Ben T and a group of us. It sounded pretty elaborate. I know there was smoke involved at some point if you did not disarm it correctly....
Sounded intense! |

Team MMK's best mission
We were playing a scenario game at Triggertyme in Columbia,S.C.It was probably in 2004 or 2005.We had a mission to take and hold a wooden structure very near the OPFOR's base.At first, our general(who was 12 years old)wanted to send 25 players to storm the objective by force.I was able to convince him to accompany 4 MMK team members and I and do it by stealth. It was broad daylight but the objective was surrounded by brush. We snuck up to the structure very quietly and laid down in the brush(even our mission ref who was wearing orange)Anyone who has played with MMK knows we wear black pants and black shirts with white letters. We waited for about 24 minutes without being discovered, even though enemy players walked right by us several times. Finally, with 6 minutes to go an enemy player saw us!We completed the mission with a furious firefight and a running escape with a live general...

There are several that stick out in my mind. Picking just one is too hard.
1. I think is was the 2006 Free Finale at LCP, but I'm not positive. We went on a night mission to capture the other team's base. It was extremely dark--no moonlight. Getting to that base was something else & I had to follow best I could because I didn't know the field well. After an intense fire fight, we captured the base. I'm not giving out any details on how we pulled it off, but it was very well organized. As I remember it, Shrub & Merilu was in charge of that attack. By the time we walked back to our camp, night time play was called & that was it for the night. Sweeeeet. 2. Perhaps my personal favorite was at Paintball Charleston early last year (MPP Game). There's 2 parts to this story, emphasizing that if at first you don't succeed.... The object was to capture that wonderful castle they have there, which just looks fantastic at night with those torches. We start off by slowly-- very slowly--sneaking up on the castle. The defenders didn't know we were there, but they were ready when we showed ourselves. After "making our move" when we think we are ready & they are not, we get the crap shot out of us from so many directions we don't even know where all it was coming from. Round one to the defenders. Then we re-group & improve our plan based our painfully acquired intelligence. Somehow I end up following DocRock to the castle entrance. Doc has a nack for attacking that castle (somehow he wasn't in on the failed attempt). No defenders see us slip in & it's shooting fish in a barrel from there & the castle is ours. Very intense for me--it was the first time I had been inside that castle ever!!! So I had no idea of the layout inside--very cool experience. 3. The location was Extreme Paintball in Pickens, SC. This was several, maybe 3-4, years ago. First we had to attack their castle with a 30 minute time limit. There, when you barrel tag the castle wall, one player is out on the inside for each tag. Of course you risk a very easy, close hit from above just attempting the tag. Anyway, we take the castle. Then we reverse roles & have to hold the castle for 30 minutes while being attacked. We managed to do that, so we had won both ends of that fairly intense competition. Mucho paint was shot on both sides--whew!!
