Shake, this was a Porsche that I would consider marrying, Bro! It was major fine! He had to tuck all the gear around the built in sub & speaker module. And to top it all off, he was a really nice guy. No airs or aloof attitude. I would have never figured it. He's going to make a good player and a perfect Dad-Sons team. It's what it is all about!

Sp1

I've had my Sp1 now for about a month. When I went to get it I noticed it didn't have the select firing modes installed, so the place I bought it from sent it back to Smartparts for me to get the board flashed. Took about two weeks to get it back. To me it was worth the wait because it has been flawless straight outta the box. I also added an Apex barrel don't know to much about the quiet part, my teammates say it kinda loud on the recieving end LOL!!! I haven't used it with the stock barrel though. I did just add a Triumph SSL 200 loader which seems to work perfect with my Sp1 (hasen't missed a ball yet). I am using HPA and have no problems there either it gets everything that I can expext to get out of a 48/3000. I plan on getting the BT 45 degree rail to mount behind the loader with a red dot scope attached to that gives it just enough room to get beside the loader and still have clear line of sight. Don't know about adding a stock yet, still thinking on that.......the SP just feels good the way it is to me. It came right outta the box firing at about 283 and is still in that range every game we play. Really the only thing right now that kinda eats at me is the way the battery flops around in the grip. But thats an easy fix with alittle more foam I would think. For me it has been great so far.

OK. i really need to update on the sp-1, i used it alot Sunday, and the apex does make it , quite a bit louder , i also had problems getting the apex,( to not come unscrewed from the marker) i did add a rubber washer, if any body has had the same problem, please fill me in on a fix. a side from that, it performed flawless.

Geronimo seems like when I first put my apex on the first couple of times that the threads either on the barrel or inside the SP1 felt like it had grit in them. Kinda worried me abit LOL!!! But after taking it on and off quiet a few times it has smoothed out alot. I have to admit its not the easiest barrel to pull on and off because of the short distance from the marker to the apex itself. I did add a washer to mine because the Apex didn't come with one. I did read a tech tip about putting tape over the holes in the barrel to help make it quieter, but I haven't tried it yet.

throw the stock apex barrel in the trash. get you a 2 piece all american with the front thats designed to fit the apex tip. you can find them on ebay. or get a lapco made for an apex.
