Compulsive Paintball Gives Sneak Peak Review of Smart Parts SP-1

Jonathon Stark, the owner and operator of online paintball powerhouse
CompulsivePaintball.com, offers sneak peek review of the new Smart Parts SP1 paintball marker just in time for the Christmas season.

North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania (PRWeb) December 13, 2007 -- Jonathon Stark, the owner and operator of online paintball powerhouse CompulsivePaintball.com, offers sneak peek review of the new Smart Parts SP1
paintball marker just in time for the Christmas season.

Jon Stark will tell you that he rarely has the opportunity to try new equipment since new paintball markers and paintball gear because they sell out so quickly. But on a chilly morning this season, he took the opportunity! Fresh out of the box the SP-1, created by Smart Parts, made an impression as an easy to handle, functional marker that is meant to be used.

"The last model created by Smart Parts was a good idea but the product had been a disaster, but this time they really got it right," said Jon Stark of CompulsivePaintball.com. "The marker is light, compact and rugged with a
center feed body and accuracy- always important! With a budget-friendly price at $149, it's a great option for woodsball and scenario players alike. Paintball players have been waiting for years for a marker this good at this price!"

The SP-1 features a smaller body made of a glass fiber reinforced nylon, which sounds like it might be delicate, but isn't. Impact resistant, durable and strong, this polymer is stronger than simple plastic or metal alone. This impregnated polymer system is used in Glock handguns and the military's AR-15 rifle, which means they are more than strong enough for a weekend of paintball.

An affordable marker that will not break your budget, the SP-1 paintball marker is CO2 compatible with a valve that allows you to add any CO2 tank that you already own onto the marker. Easy and cost saving, this feature is a huge improvement over their previous model. The gun was also immediately at the right level when chrono'd for the first time.

"Before playing you have to check the marker using a chronograph, which measures how fast the paintballs are coming out of the barrel," explained Jon. "The SP-1 checked out at 298, 296 and 300 feet per second, a perfect level right from the start. That means you don't have to waste time making adjustments but instead can head right into the game after you check your marker at the chrono station."

The SP-1 is built on Smart Part's Ion Technology, a proven system that was developed to allow owners to easily upgrade and personalize their markers with aftermarket parts. You can switch the barrel, trigger or more using
body kits and by adding upgrades that suit your individual style of play. The two parts that Jon noticed were lacking were the battery and stock barrel.

The industrial battery that came with the paintball gun became a little unreliable towards the end of the day and switching it with a new 9v solved the problem allowing for smooth firing. The stock 10" barrel was accurate and quiet, but the marker would benefit overall from an upgrade to a longer, more accurate and even more quiet paintball barrel. Small changes that really should not detract from the overall 'thumbs up' given by this rigorous field testing PRWeb eBooks - Another online visibility tool from PRWeb About Compulsive Paintball

We have one of these in our store. They look and feel great, but the trigger can stick a bit with rapid firing. Other than this, the SP-1 will be a great addition to the scenario/woodsball player's arsenal.
