Ion problems

Hey guys, I just got a new board for my ion. It's just another stock one, but I like it the same. Anyway, I can't get the eyes in it to work. The gun refuses to shoot with eyes on. I played almost a whole day with the eyes off, and it would keep balls from feeding into the gun. I'm using an Egg with Y board, and the batteries are new. Any help you all could give would be great.

L8ter,

Matt

You played with the eyes off and it kept balls from feeding into the gun?
First off make sure the eyes are clean. Then turn the marker on, stick your finger in the breech (all the way down to block the eyes) and see if it shoots.

I assume you turned the eyes on through the settings. Also check the eye harness and all the pins that go into the plug connection. Make sure they are not bent. Sometimes putting a fresh battery helps. Make sure the diodes (eyes) are not bent on the eye board. Make sure they line up with the holes when you drop it in place.

Matt:
You have to be very carefull putting the upper reciever and the grip back together because of the delicate nature of the wireing. This also goes for the banjo air fittings becareful not to over tighten them...It spicificly speaks about this in the manuel...Read it if you haven't alredy!
But as MCB says check the eyes to make sure there actually working by turning the ion on and putting your finger into the ball drop area in front of the bolt....If it dosn't work then its either the eyes or the wireing to them...Obviously the battery is ok since you were using it to play, I have the original battery that came with my ion its as good as the day I bought the marker....Over a year ago...Its an 06 ion pro!
Please be sure to not do this test with the air supply hooked up...

It's fixed

Hey guys, I finally got the gun fixed. The wire that connects the eyes to the board was fried, as were the eyes themselves. I put new eyes in it, and a new eye board, and it works great. Thanks for everyone who helped me on this one.

L8ter,

Matt

oh, also, the bolt was sticking, that's why it kept balls from feeding. It woluld stick forward, so a quick application of some dye slick lube solved that problem. Thanks again everyone.
