Ion Reg And Asa Help

Ok im replacing all the stock parts even if not needed because when im done I plan on rebuilding the stock and selling it....so my question is......I need to replace the tank inlet or mount for lack of termenology(the part the tank screws into) and from what i gather a ASA is the alternative upgrade???correct me if im wrong(the asa replaces the current screw-in ? ), my question is what do i need to order to get it too hook up to the AKA 2litter regulator ive ordered and will the asa bolt straight onto my current drop forward WITHOUT using any stock parts(ill be needing those to rebuild the stock ion) so i know i need a hose(would be greatfull if you had information on where to get and if size is universal for regulator hookup) also i noticed on the stock ion there are two metal elbows i dont know right off how the other reg will hook (they are also silver and I would like to find black if they have to be used...like i said i donit even know if the are used on after market regz)!! and when these other items arrive I dont want to have to wait to assemble cuz i realized im needing this other part!!!!! THANKS AGAIN so far you all have been a great help with this project !

It sounds to me like you want to replace the ASA/onoff at the bottom of the frame, the hose, and the regulator. All you need is
-the regulator (which you've already ordered and which WILL screw straight into where the other one went)
-two 90* swivel macroline fittings and probably no more than 7 inches of macroline
-a new ASA/onoff (CP makes nice ones, so does Hybrid. Any one will work as long as it's not made specifically for a spyder which has offset holes unlike every other marker out there.)
-two ASA screws to mount the ASA to the bottom of the frame.

for the macroline, just go to your local proshop. you can get black fittings but you have to order them and they're not any different, they're just colored. i don't remember where to get them.

Make sure you consider which On-Off/ASA you buy. CP makes a direct mount that goes directly to the trigger frame. That is a no-hassle deal. Mount it, plumb it and go to town. They also make them with dovetail mounts. If you use one of these, you need a drop forward or a rail to mount it to the frame. Personally, I use a drop forward. It positions the tank in a more balanced position and make it easier to hold and shoot. Look around at the CP site and check it out.
