Ion Upgrade?!?!

Kaleb, you might have to explain what "dagger & rifleman" are. Everyone here doesn't frequent the Special Ops forums. Explain how and where (area) you like to play and you'll probably get a better response. Lata!

Oh, and an APE Rampage board, when they become available again; and a Hammerhead or Freak system... That should get your Ion smokin'. My 2 cents...

This is just my opinion. I played with my ion about a week after I got it as the Bearclaw game in late December. A new barrel would have been nice but was not necessary. If you really want a barrel and have the money you might as well buy one if a good deal comes because it is an investment you will undoubtedly buy. As for the board, I have yet to replace my stock board and do not plan on doing so for a long time. I keep mine on semi anyways.

Dagger Is Pretty much light rifleman. (runs around the field and gets shot mostly) and medium rifleman is balanced and all around. So The Freak Barrel is lookin pretty good for me eh? And if you don't go to Special Ops Paintball ,that's just un american. they have EVERYTHING There!! But watch out, because some of their articles are commercial ads! but It helped me BIG time!!

Stock board is good for what you are doing now. You may want to check out the different barrel systems available because while the stock barrel is ok, a more accurate barrel is the first upgrade to make. If you have not done so already, do the really required first upgrade and change the feed neck to a clamp or twist lock. Very inexpensive upgrade and worth its weight in gold when compared to the stock feed neck.
After that and a better barrel, you may want to look into upgrading the bolt. A fire bolt or suprfly is a good choice...and even better choice would be the TechT Level 7. This is a very quite bolt and gives you a little more air efficiency. You really don't need a QEV with this bolt, but it doesn't hurt to have one either.
After your internals are up to speed with your rifleman position, then you may want to check out the missle body from LapCo or HammerHead. Great scenario body for the ION, which includes mil spec rails in 45 angles on each side of the body for your red dot, night vision or night light.
