Sir Rod is right, I Keep the the tank in my vest and i run a remote line. And why would i want to use a tank as a stock? Its way too heavy, so when i'll shoot i'll be shooting in the air. So the stock will help because it seems when i try to hit a still target the gun seems to gradually go up. So a stock should help. And to "the boss" in woodsball, 30 bps won't beat accuracy, Even though its a advantage when you have both.

edit - i lied. im going on this. if you put the tank up to your shoulder it works like a stock. itll keep your center of gravity near the trigger frame which will give the gun a more balanced feel and therefore lighter. A stock with a remote line is just going to throw off the balance of the gun, and create a much larger feel to the gun. So no, the stock wont help and also in "woodsball" having a remote line can be a hassle because it often gets caught on branches. Plus, remotes are notorious for working on an off. Also, if you're complaning about the 'kick' of an ion you need to go to the gym. im a small guy, but a stock ion doesnt have THAT much kick. To elminate that kick your best option would be to get a lighter bolt because the movement of the bolt is what is causing that. It will also improve your efficiency and therefore improve your accuracy because the more consistent velocity you have the easier you'll be able to predict the flight of the ball. Is 30 BPS accurate? Yes, 30 is just as accurate if the velocity is consistant and the paint to barrel match is correct. I can shoot a full hopper at 30 BPS with a stock barrel on a ion more accurate than 1 shot. Why? Because there's no in between time that your aim can move. Please, dont make me write more. Last edited by scpaintballer01; 07-17-2007 at 02:00 PM. |

I will have to back Scpaintballer up, using a tank as a stock will not make you shoot into the air. That would be your posture that does that. The only marker that I have experienced that has a problem with kick is a Cyborg.. and that is minimal. Also, the weight issue. A 45/45 is LIGHT. I believe the issue with your tank is the fact that it is a 91/45. That's 10 man days style..but whatever floats your boat.

Too bad you wasted your time on us two. and you don't have to write any more if you don't want to. But when i'm laying down, and i'm shooting, the gun gradually goes up and i'm gripping it pretty solid. But you would like me to go into detail, too bad. And i have a remote cover and if you're too lazy to turn a remote line on and off, maybe YOU should hit the gym. So you stay on the speedball field, and i'll stay on THE paintball field. See ya

i cant really see at all where scpaintballer01 is coming from at all except to cover up from where he was wrong... if the question was about weight (which im pretty sure it was) a stock is significally lighter than a 45/45, whether you like the stock or the tank its all preference
and if you have to shoot 30 balls at some1 and pray that it hits them... well i guess its all preference again... lol TIPPMANN X7 TECHT PAINTBALL INNOVATIONS ADVENTURE BEACH PAINTBALL RAP4 GUERRILLA AIR INC.
