Leaking macroline?

I have a 05 ion with medium dropforward and the macroline is like 1 inch from bottom of reg so when i air up it leaks. I have literally like 1 inch piece of macro there. And that leaves no wiggle room.

I was thinking of switching to braided hose! Is this possible. Any suggestions on how to quite my beast?

setup:
05 ion
ape board w/ keypad
milled grip
ans laser eyes
warrior ion bolt
trinity lowrise clamping feedneck
phyco ballistic med drop
evo 2
crossfire 70/45

No problem but you are going to most likely have to get the braided line made. With braided line you can not make sharp turns or loops without risking a leak out of the crimped connections. With only only as short a distance between connections you are going to have to make a small 'U' out of the braided line.

I personally hate micro and macro line and use brass or stainless steel braided line to plumb my guns. I've even been known to use stainless hardline also but the fittings and tubing are harder to come by.

FluidAir your Parker connection for Hose Assemblies, Hydraulic and Pneumatic components

These people are a good resource for fittings and hoses. Be patient when dealing with them, as they are not paintballers. BST and SST quick connects by Parker Hannafin are good for our applications. They can make custom length braided hoses as well.

Quick fix is to use a longer section of macroline and loop it around so it does not have the hard bend and tension. It wouldn't hurt to replace the factory fittings with swivels. And don't worry about Grendel. When he fought the mighty Beowulf, the Dane used Macroline to whip him, so he's inherently scared of it!

Question about the braided hose! Exactly what diameter would i need? And then what fittings anyone one that would know is greatly appreciated.

Claydirt- i actually know someone who works for this company so if you know what size fittings i need i could probaly get. And if so i was thinking of taking maybe 3 inch piece and looping it.

Tell your friend you would like a stainless steel braided hose x-number of inches long with 1/8" NPT ends on it and he should have no problem making it. Also tell him you need a Parker Hannafin catalog so you can shop for future fittings and quick connects.

If it were me, i'd go with a smaller/no drop and get swivel fittings for the macroline. Even with braided hose, it's still gonna have to be pretty bent to get the right angle and then it just looks ugly and bulky.

Thanks for the help claydirt and grendal. I think i am going to try the braided line. I'm tired of playing with leaky macro to get gun ready to play. I have thought of switching to different drop but iam so use to the med don;t think it would feel right!

Grendel and I have gotten creative in the plumbing of the braided hoses, and once you get it set, your done, period!! A couple of my guns have had the same piece of braid on it for 18 years, with no problems. You can use heat shrink tubing to help match the color of the gun if desired. Anyway, good luck.
