sp-1

hey , i was thinking about getting the sp-1, as my primery back, and cqc marker. i know the marker can be ran off of c02, and on the intro vid , he speaks about the need for a dip tube, my question is , is there any reason you can not run a remote line on this marker. peace

None. Zero, Zip, Zippo - Nadda remotes are perfectly fine.

Dip tube I can't beleave that they called it that...it's a anti syphon tube to keep liquid out of the valve.
Yes you can use a remote, I also recomend an expantion chamber as well as it helps vaporize the liquid Co2. Even a remote can allow liqid Co2 to get to the valve which will dammage it.
I like the SP-1. Recient review's on this web sight read the thread "Can your marker swim"....Don't go on my openion alone, research, research, research....

If you have enought dough that your backup gun is a SP1 then why are you still using CO2?

iRob a SP-1 cost around $150.00. It's a much cheeper marker than all the rest of the SP markers. Cheeper infact than a new HPA tank.

bearclaw is the nearest place i can get a hpa fill, i live about 40 miles away. i fill my own co2 tanks ,i give $15 for 50 lbs .gas is $3.15 a gallon. contrary to popular belief hpa is not a given, i have checked into buying a hpa compressor ( yea right). the start up cost is staggering, at a $1 per thousand. and we wonder why fields have to charge $65 a case for $35 paint. peace

Geronimo thats cheep for Co2 when I bought in bulk from Crumptions welding in Tampa. I paid $10.00 for 15 pounds...

You might be better off when you get a HPA tank if you get a couple of SCUBA tanks and have them filled at a dive shop if you have any in your area. Problem with SCUBA tanks most are only 3000psi, there are some that go higher, but there hard to find.
Just a thought.
