"what are most quiet ion mods" The best ion mods are a hammer, saw, and if you have one a compactor. Other than at you have the quietest mods there is ions don't really get that quiet.

Queitest barrel on the market is Hammerhead, hands down (quite frankly it's a fantastic barrel too). The porting is pointed back towards you, and it doesn't sound so quiet to the shooter, but downrange an Ion with a Hammerhead is basically silent.

the Hammerhead also uses the barrel sizers that an extensive article in APG showed helped accuracy more than the 6 inch suckers that we've all been using for years.

true. although i haven't used every barrel on the market, i will say with regards to the hammerhead... its pretty damn accurate if you correctly match paint to bore, and i've never played with or against a quieter barrel. i use one on my phantom, and i'm often told by my friends that they watch my body language for the shot bc they can't hear it report down range.

i know this to be true because i've been on the receiving end and even when i do hear it, its faint, and almost sounds as if its a shot fired in the distance in another direction. i don't find it to be the most accurate of barrels i've used, nor the lightest, or the prettiest...and i don't beleive the rifling does ANYTHING at all, but quietest yes.
